I am in Muscat, so I guess nearest visa center for me is Abu dhabi. In 2009 when I sent my passport for TRV we didnt have VFS-canada back then, so I used DHL. Now that we have one, and since its faster, it makes more sense. Good job I asked

Quick question. How do you receive the COPR? Is this a physical document provided when you receive your passport back from the visa office or will the COPR be made available in the CIC account?

Also for visa exempt passports, how do you get the COPR?

Finally some news. I just checked my CIC account ....Approved.

The passport should follow soon.

VFS is more secure also it seams they process their passports a little bit faster than courier , one more thing VFS sends your passport to the nearest visa application center not restricted to Abu Dhabi

Can i send my passport to any vfs office one i get PPR?

Nothing as yet. Checked VFS tracking and it shows that the passport is still at the Visa office.

I suppose the passport should be sent back to VFS Dubai today. If not it would probably be on Saturday/Sunday.

I guess it depends on how quickly your CIC a/c gets updated. I have the counterfoil details as well as the expiry date for the document now mentioned on my account.

There are those who receive their passport first, and have their CIC account updated later probably due some delay.
That said, for me its sttll not over till my passport is in hand.
