Pictures, joint bank accounts, remittance... Any thing to prove you guys are legit. Should be on the list of prerequisite.

Try taking screenshots of your conversations then compiling them on a word document, make sure they are translated in English as well.

Some chat apps you can download the chat logs and open them using word processing programs. From there you can just open and print. Again make sure they are translated in english

The nature of documents to provide is explained in the checklist, according to your situation.
Keep in mind the new limits they impose for the proofs (max 20 photos, max 10 pages of chats and cards).

We provided :
- screenshots of Whatsapp over 2 years (2 screens/ months), scans of cards we sent each other and the screenshot of my Gmail inbox showing all th exchange with my husband
- tons of flight tickets, bus tickets, hotel reservation, pages from my passport and his passport showing stamps of entry
- 20 photos
- proof of joint health and dental assurance
- 3 letters from friends (2 notarized)
- screenshot of facebook showing us and the friend in Paris
- financial proofs : proof of joint debit card, credit card, proof of money transfer
- proof of common lease and wedding chamber reservation...

i still havent received a text msg from the IRCC that my package has arrived.
I have contacted the post office from which i sent the package and they cant trace it beyond Ireland. Also, i cannot call IRCC because they only have a number for within Canada that doesnt work when i try it from here. does anyone have a normal number for the IRCC i can ring from outside Canada?

Find out with the courier company in ireland to see if they use Canadapost in Canada or try using the tracking number that you have at canadapost.ca website.

If your application is sent using canadapost there might be a delay in customs.

thank you. i tried on canada post website last week and this week. it doesnt recognize the number. it wouldve been canada post because i used irish post from here not a private courier.

We sent our application that got recieved on 3rd august . Now the thing that bothers me alot is tht in imm0008 we answered a question which states how many family members are on this application . As we have no dependants . We wrote 1 . Its highly confusing . Will this lead to any problem . ?

This is a generic application form to be filled by principal applicant. If you have no dependents and you are the only one being sponsored then the answer is 1. You don't have to worry.

i tried all options on Canada Post with the Irish tracking number but to no avail.
i just hope they get it at some point keeping my fingers crossed!

I sent my application off August 3rd, they signed for it and received it August 8th.

Now the waiting begins!

Jus want to share my story as sometimes the wait is little long. But don't worry.

I sent my application on Jun 16th, did not enroll for text alert. As per the canadapost tracking CIC received it on Jun 20th. Then the wait starts. Most of the June applicants got the AOR 1 in 4 weeks. I tried calling CIC to see if they even opened my app. Finally on Aug 10 the customer rep mentioned that my application is being returned for missing document. That is when i created this thread and August excel file because for sure i have to resend my application in this month. On Aug 11th i got my AOR1. It took exaclty 38 working days for me to get the AOR1.

This is just a beginning, there are more steps and more waiting for each step.

So everyone we need to be patience.

So did they return your application and then you re-sent it to them with the missing document or you sent a new application and got AOR1? sorry for asking too many questions

Sent our application by Fedex on August 12 and received by David yesterday (august 15). Got the text message from IRCC that they received our application. Now the waiting game begins.
