This is my current status

Review of medical results:
You passed the medical exam. Jul-25-2017
Review of additional documents:
The additional documents you provided are being uploaded.
Interview:
You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics:
We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check:
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision:
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Can anybody confirm this status is IP1 or 'Not Started" and also let me know the approximate PPR date based on their experience for my profile

Its IP1, "Not started" is also IP1, some files have different words. So same.
Can't tell you how long (estimate) it will take until and unless you share your Stream and AOR date.

When did your medicals pass?

Stages of Application-

AOR>Medical pass> IP1>NA2>IP2.

IP1- when BGC is "in progress" for the first time after AOR. Happens 1-2 days before or after medicals or maybe the same day.
NA2- Background check (BGC) IP1 changes back to "not applicable" after 1-20 days from the day it started. This is NA2 stage.
IP2- BGC again goes to "in progress" from "not applicable", this is IP2 stage, if file is at Ottawa it takes maximum 40 days to see this from NA2 stage. If file is at CIO it might take 60-70 days to see this change from NA2. As CIO files show IP2 only when sent to Local Visa offices.
PPR- After 2-15 days from IP2 PPR is issued.

Mostly FSWO may applicants passed this stage a very long while back. It should have changed to NA now. For FSWO IP1 normally takes maximum 20 days to change to NA2. You should call them to ask if you have passed criminality check and R10, as most likely you are stuck at anyone one of these checks. Also be sure that you have not missed any document or PCC, as then it might be worrying if you have. this stage can be extended in such cases also.

My medical has passed around a week ago. But still no change in background status. ??

okay so you are in IP1, its normal, IP1 takes 14 days to be done. Most likely your R10 is going on. Maybe they picked up your file very late and hence the slow updates, but from now on everything will go on smoothly.

Can't say anything till your BGC changes from IP1 to NA2, but maybe in 50-60 days hopefully even sooner if your are lucky

I have the same problem, and my AOR is April 20th, passed the medical exams on June 20, and from then - nothing.
Do any of you guys know what this means?

No, no e-mail for change in Background check status, you will have to check your CIC account regularly to see that.
E-mail is only for medicals and then PPR.
