Hi everyone,
Can anyone see CIC taking issue with someone perhaps networking/marketing themselves to/(potentially) meeting with Canadian employers whilst on visitor status?
I would of course make it clear in any communications with potential employers that I CANNOT and WOULD NOT be prepared or allowed to do anything even remotely resembling what could be considered "work", without them first obtaining a positive LMIA, and me then securing a work permit.
I will probably be in Canada for only a few more weeks and am in the very first stages of applying for PR under the CEC category.
So, I just wanted to see if anyone had any positive or negative experience of reaching out to Canadian employers in such a way, or would caution against such action/know of CIC regulations which prevent a person from "seeking out" offers of employment while on visitor status?
This was just a thought that came to mind, as, a Job Bank profile is created when registering for Express Entry (if I remember rightly), which, is kind of doing the same thing that I'm considering. "Advertising" me.
Thoughts welcome.
Cheers!
