Guys..Is anyone landing in Canada in the foreseeable future or has anyone landed there recently? If yes, let us connect and help each other with issues related to landing and settling. Any idea how we could do that? Thanks.
1- NORequest for experts to answer the below two questions...
I received AOR on Feb 22nd and my category is PNP Outland. Residing in India.
1. My IELTS will expire on Sep 15th. If I dont get PPR before this date, will I have to apply for IELTS again?
2. What exactly does the NDVO check in the application?
Visa application has several sections. Which all sections of the VISA application processing is done at Canada Office and which all at NDVO?
Medical?
PCC?
Educational documents?
Work Experience?
IELTS?
Background check related to international travel?
Association with terrorist organizations?
We are almost there in shaa Allh; don't lose hope, good luckI complete my 6 months today. I have no idea what to do!!! Have already waited 1 year for receiving nomination and now this. I have never felt so hopeless... Have resigned from my job.. Have given IELTS more than twice... postponed many decisions... everything for the PPR.. The most frustrating part is receiving no clear communication from the authorities....
All the best to everyone waiting for their PPR!!!!

Inshallah...what u r saying becomes true soon!!!We are almost there in shaa Allh; don't lose hope, good luck
Thanks @Hanan22 ...1- NO
2- Usually Medicals and PCC are done at NDVO and they forward your file.
From what I understood based on my notes medical and PCC are checked at the first office like NDVO then once passed the file is transferred to other offices for eligibility and securityThanks @Hanan22 ...
Are you sure that NDVO does Medical and PCC?
Medicals, PCC, R10 are checked by central intake office and all of them are in Canada. From what I understood based on my notes medical and PCC are checked at the first office like NDVO then once passed the file is transferred to other offices for eligibility and security
Yes that is what happened with my application!Medicals, PCC, R10 are checked by central intake office and all of them are in Canada.
Generally, it is Sydney, Nova Scotia
Does that mean local VO do not conduct background check at all?Medicals, PCC, R10 are checked by central intake office and all of them are in Canada.

LVO do extra checks if the file has been transferred with red flag.Does that mean local VO do not conduct background check at all?

You can register for a CIIP session, and they conduct a 'all day' workshop on Canada settlement. Very informative, and useful.Guys..Is anyone landing in Canada in the foreseeable future or has anyone landed there recently?
