I am sure there are great analytical brains here and I need some assistance to understand the CRS cuttoffs.
As per the breakdown on July 6th
601-1200 199
451-600 764
441-450 1,008

Cut off at 440 for 3202 applications.
Considering that there were quite a few applications in that space of 5 days until the draw, it still means that there were nearly 600+ applicants with a score of 440.

This then means that 431-440 which stood at 1576 applicants would have flushed out these heavy 440'ers. Leaving less than 800-1000 applicants there.

My pea brain (and the hopeful heart) tells me that next cutoff during the draw tomorrow should still be close to 430 +/- 3

I didn't understand your logic :(.
What do u mean by this "This then means that 431-440 which stood at 1576 applicants would have flushed out these heavy 440'ers."
And lastly, I don't think cutoff will go below 438 in any case. Even 438 would depend on how many ITA's they send.
:)

Hey another Waterloo buddy! We could be neighbours. I went to Laurier and lived with a lot of UWaterloo students. The Computer Science degrees there are second to none. It's a fabulous place to be in IT. And next year it'll be even better when we move in. Just make sure you keep the noise down. Some of us have to get up for work. Damn students.
Wow :) That was nice to know. Hopefully I get in there someday :)

Yes indeed Waterloo is the silicon valley of Canada :)

I missed this very interesting discussion about reasons for immigrating to Canada and am catching up. But wow @tjsecondtry, you are my hero! I have been feeling bad about being 41 and losing so many points because of age, in addition to wondering how 20+ years slipped by because I still feel 20... it's really nice to see I'm not the only one who is up there in the years!

Btw 81 year old body builder and athlete Ernestine Shepherd is one of my biggest heroes:

I want to be like her when I grow up. And I feel Canada will offer the best environment and opportunities for me to pursue my life goals.
Thank you! Think of your life as chapters in a book. All of the preceding ones lead up to who and where you are now. A firm foundation to move to the future!

That and hair dye. Hair dye hides many sins.

Wow 23 and following his dream! Don't you dare give up on it or I'll hunt you down. When I was 23 I had an offer to do an MBA in Waterloo, Ontario. Instead I decided against it and did one in Belfast instead. Worst move of my entire life. Know who's where I would be now if I had done the MBA in Canada. Oh wait, yes I know where I would be.

So don't you dare give up on this dream or I will hunt you down. You older folk like @lino82 - I'll hunt you down too if you give up and you're slower and easier to catch.
Lol. Thank you :)

:)
441-1200 = 199+764+1008 = 1971
Total ITA issued = 3202

So remaining ITA (1232) issued to people who were at 440 and to the ones who fall in 441-1200 scores but joined the pool between 6-11July. The later can not be a very big figure since it's not easy to get those scores easily.
This then means that there should have been anywhere between 500-800 applicants who were @ 440.

This then means that that many applicants reduced from 431-440 category which was at 1500.

Which then means that depending on the average number of people who join the pool at scores of 440+ on a daily basis over the last 3 weeks should be roughly around 1800-2000.
Brining me to my pea brain prediction that the score for tomorrow's draw should be around 430 -/+3.

Hope this explains. :) :) :)
