Thanks for the reply @KiranK. I sent an email to CPC Ottawa to enquire about my VO. Got a reply yesterday:

Please note that your application is being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.
We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required.

It seems my profile has not moved to Visa Office yet. Can be a long wait for me :(
are you applying from inside or outside?

Hi @Kiran K and @legalfalcon - hope all is well. I'm in NA2 now and have a question in general on what happens after PPR. I'm hearing about passports not be sent across border. Then is it implied that after PPR one should by default request for VO change based on their geographical location. In general, how should one get ready for steps after PPR. Given only 30 days is provided to send PP, I thought this might help everyone awaiting PPR to prepare for next steps.

FYI - I live in the US and my case is processed at Ottawa CPC.

Hi @KiranK

My Medicals passed on July 22, same day Background check went into: We are reviewing your application. We will let u know when we start background check and Review for additional documents stated: The additional documents you provided are being reviewed.
Today on 26 July i have the below status
Medical: You passed the medical exam
Review for additional documents stated: The additional documents you provided have been uploaded.
Background check: Not applicable

So what i can understand from this is that I have completed IP1, but what all is covered in IP1 i am not sure about that. Is completeness and R10, eligibility done so far?
Yes you have completed IP1, R10 is done at IP1. Eligibility is the next check now in NA2 stage. Also did you send a CSE or any LOE, as your additional documents status shows uploaded. This might be the indication that they received it.

@KiranK - I got my medicals passed and IP1 on July 20th, but my BGC status hasn't changed to NA2 since that. Is it normal or something to worry about? I saw for some people here who passed medicals on July 17th are already in IP2 stage
No No, its very normal for IP1 to last 14 days also, relax it will change to NA within few days.

In the PPR e-mail itself it is mentioned to send your PP to the VO your file is being processed. Its a very simple process after PPR, just send 2 photographs, copy of PPR e-mail and the PP. You will be fine. Every thing will be in the e-mail,

This is strange, i hope you did not choose some wrong option there, try again. it works for sure.
I tried the same and got a similar response. The call is transferred first and then disconnected. I selected "1" three times I guess (1 for English, 1 for Immigration and one more 1 for visa and immigration)

Are there business hours you need to make the call between? I thought you had said earlier that the automated call option is 24 hour service

If you applied from USA then your LVO is Ottawa. As regards sending passports to Canada from the US, I wrote a post long ago:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/sending-passport-to-cic-ottawa-by-indian-citizens-residing-in-the-usa.399633/

There is no law prohibiting a passport holder from mailing his passport to Ottawa. And please do not get carried away with what people say, instead rely on what the law is.

As regards the IP1, IP2 and NA. there are your status change and are mere speculation as to what may have happened.

An EE application goes through the following steps (not necessarily in this order):

1. Completeness (R10)
2. Eligibility (A11.2)
3. Criminality
4. Medical
5. Security.

In this the most important steps are Completeness and Eligibility. If your application has cleared eligibility, you are 90% done. Unfortunately the MyCIC states does not help you know about which stage your application is, but merely speculations are there that after a specific stage, it may have been at a specific point.

To know what happens at each stage - see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

GCMS is the only accurate way of knowing where your application is at exactly. Ordering GCMS is not mandatory and is a personal choice. You may decide to wait it out or order GCMS and see.
