i checked my ecas online and no changes there, and no changes on gckey after medical exam passed .. did you get an email when your file was transferred?

sponsor will get an email when the file gets transferred to VO.

really sorry for you. But the checklist clearly says you have to submit 3 of the following set of documents. And its absolutely must.. not optional..!!

Joint ownership of residential property or joint residential leases or joint rental agreements listing both the sponsor and the principal
applicant; (Minimum 1 document).
Proof of joint utilities accounts (electricity, gas, telephone); (Minimum 1 document).
Important documents for you and your sponsor showing the same address, such as copies of Government issued identification
documents: driver's licenses, insurance policies, etc.
Important documents for you or your sponsor showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse (such as employment or
insurance benefits). (Minimum 1 document).
Documentary evidence of financial support between your sponsor and yourself.
Other proof that your relationship is recognized by your friends and/or family (e.g. Letters, social media information showing a
public relationship, etc.)


Even I got married in this May and submitted application in June 1st week. And I got sponsor approval. So collect all documents and then apply again....All the best

Certainly I understand this requirement, however, we are Outland applicants so how can we be living together as the word Outland is used wen sponsor is in Canada n PA is in native country,

If they don't live together how can they have a common lease agreement?

If they don't live together how can they have joint utilities account?

And who in this world at is age of 25 is capable enough toh own (purchase) a property by himself so that they can add the spouse name as joint owner?

I think it's not relevant to Outland applicants. I have sent whatsapp convos n they received it on 23-June, so probably inshud hear back sumthing by next week.
If not then might be my file be returned too.

Oh ok. Following are the documents I submitted with my application. Hope it helps you when you prepare application next time.

Supporting documents – Sponsor

1. Photocopy of PR Card

2. Employment verification:

a. Original letter from employer

b. Latest Notice of assessment from CRA



Supporting documents – Principal applicant

1. Copy of passport

2. Birth Certificate, Baptism certificate, SSLC certificate
3. Copy of national identity card

4. Copy of marriage certificate

5. Two recent photos – I enclosed them in an envelope ( I have written the title on the envelope)

6. Twenty Photos of wedding ceremony and outings – I enclosed them in an envelope (I have written the title on the envelope)

7. Copies of national identity document for sponsor and principal applicant showing same address

8. Documentary proof for funds transferred from sponsor to principal applicant (for showing financial support)

a. Receipt from Remitly Canada

9. Proof that our relationship is acknowledged by friends and family

a. Screenshot of Facebook relationship status change of sponsor showing that he married principal applicant

a. Boarding passes and electronic tickets for flights to home country and return to Canada

b. Photocopies of passport showing exit entry stamps to home country for the above mentioned travels

12. Details of honeymoon trip

a. Reservations made for honeymoon trips

b. Bus tickets for our honeymoon trip

That's exactly what i did as well .. put in as much as you can .. i even send them my hotel receipts where i stayed during the honey moon .. any dinner/lunch bills .. everything! hey .. it's better to send a lot then less .. some of our whatsapp messages were extremely private, but if that proves my relationship with him, then why not?

FYI Outland does not mean you live in different countries. We are outland and we live together in Canada.
The checklist is still relevant to outland applicants.

send them what you can .. i gave them the last one - fb status .. thats the best proof .. along with whatsapp call long and text msgs .. i printed double sided 10 pages .. total 20 pages ..

We are outland and we live together in Canada. Outland does not mean you live in different countries.
The checklist is still relevant to outland applicants.

Then what is the difference between inland n Outland applicant??

You can apply for a work permit on an inland application and you cannot on an outland application.

Additionally, there is no appeal process for an inland application.

Lol. I'm a June 9th applicant so I'm not that far in the process yet. When I said your file should be transferred to VO soon, it was based on the progression of other May 29 and May 30 applications.

its 3 out of 5 documents. Not all of them.... I am also an outland applicant..

oh wow, so you received your AOR1 the same day CIC received your application?

Omg i was wrong my husband sent the application on May 23 and it was received on May 24 and AOR 1 in june 24. Sorry

Yes they have asked now for photo with size 35mm x 45mm and it says it may be jpg format

Yes they have asked now for photo with size 35mm x 45mm and it says it may be jpg format

passport size photo should be in jpeg format usually. I remember i submitted same type of photo during my express entry application. It doesnt make sense to send its pdf version.

that's what i was asking you if they have instructions attached to your upload option .. now you have told me it should be jpeg. upload as jpeg then. if you need to scan both sides, then scan them and put them in a folder and ZIP it .. you know how to do this?
