I can understand. . What u think why ur BG is taking too long ?? Do u have any military affiliation ??or any red flag in ur notes ??
Max time for BG is 6 months

First of all, please dnt keep any timeline in mind when it comes to cic. who said 6 months is max processing time for BGC? I have personally seen people waiting for BGC over an year.
There isnt any red flag in my notes. Eligibility crim, medical passed since oct 2016, did govt job, but resigned from there.. zero travel history... Mp have already told that my case is routine case.. nothing to worry. Above all, contacted CSIS also who informed me that security checks are completed and sent to IRCC on 6th March 2017... Now dont know what they are upto?

@ehsan1618 I think its just that unfortunately @wmate is stuck in the old application which had a processing time of 20 months. It is very stressful being away from your partner, and I know we all want answers and we keep relating everything back to our own case, but please remember every case is different. The least we can do is support one another and say positive things.

@wmate are you and your spouse living together? I've seen here that many female sponsors go back and live with their husbands. I am not doing that. I am enrolled in uni full time and I cannot afford to be away from my studies for too long. I visited him in April-May which was a nice 3 week long vacation.

No change unfortunately. I think LVO has gone back to process remaining 2016 applicants as people are getting doc/re-med requests. My personal guess is that they won't process anymore 2017 applicants till Sept now........ I hope I am wrong though.

Yea I've seen a lot of remeds too which is great and I'm absolutely thrilled for them. but I wish they could multi task, you know. P.S. I hope you are wrong too about the September part. My husband's sister is getting married in Dec so as is he won't be able to come before that so I know I have to wait in any case till mid Dec but it would be nice to see some progress on my file. First month was nothing, then within a month back to back so much correspondence. And nothing since June 06.

Of course, I wholly believe that applications should be processed in a first in, first out model so seeing remaining 2016 applicants progressing is great to see! I based my guess of Sept based on the statistics table in the spreadsheet. You can clearly see the low amount of DM in July/August last year and the speed-up from Sept onwards. Based on how July has been so far, it seems we are in for a repeat of last year...

Congrats.. how long does it take get your passport back ? Like after passport submittion?

It took a little over 4 weeks. Submitted the passport on 15th June. On 16th June they sent to islamabad office. Got it on 17th July.
