Hi Everyone,
I am PR in Canada and I applied for my wife who is living in India. I sent the application to Mississauga office on June 5th and it was received on June 7th. Since then I have not received the AOR or any communication from CIC regarding my application.

How long does it take to receive the AOR?

I have seen on the timeline that almost everyone who applied during that time has received AOR.

just hang in there .. don't follow timelines .. i did that and it drove me crazy .. stay calm and you will get an AOR soon ..

lets say they want to interview .. who will CIC interview - PA or Sponsor? Where will they want the sponsor to go for the interview if they are in Canada?

i think sine we submitted PCC along with application they haven't asked again for that. But never heard anyone saying that they requested passport size photos. Let me know if you have any info on how to submit this photos.

you were suppose to submit them with the application package .. it's on the checklist .. i don't know how you are suppose to submit the passport size picx .. see instructions on the pdf letter they sent you ..

Did you call CIC to ask them how they wanted you to submit the 15-20 new photos of your wedding that they requested from you few days ago? What did they say? May be the same method of submission applies to his/her new pp photo request too?

I first inserted the picx on a word document .. then reduced the size of the pictures to make sure full document size once coverted to pdf is no more than 4mb ..

R there instructions on that pdf letter askin u how to submit ?? Or even go on ur gckey acct n see if u hv an upload option .. OR call cic n confirm with them ..

The interview (if requested) will be only for the PA and not the sponsor. It will be at the PA's VO. Even if the sponsor accompanies the PA to the interview, he/she will be asked to stay out while the interviewer interviews the PA alone.

Thanks AHC....my husband has a child with his ex-wife and she lives in Africa with the child. She hasn't made a passport for the kid and everytime we send money, she doesn't get it done. What should we do? cuz on the application it says we MUST declare the child. Do we HAVE to get the ex-wife to sign the letter of undertaking?

Congrats on AOR!!!! I'm curious to know why your application was rejected twice.

First they said that the picture size wasnt correct then they said forum was missing. I ended up hiring a lawyer to do it for me then.
