Hi All,

I will be completing 1460 Days on 25th July and plan to file my application on 27th July with 1462 Days. I was living with my uncle for a long time but have recently moved a couple of months ago and did not update my new address on my driver's license. My new address is on my 2016 Income Tax Return but my driver's license and everything else still has my old address. Changing to my new address (which might be temporary as I might have to move again as I am only renting a room and relationship with landlord is shaky) on driver's licence will cause the transport authority to mail a new one in 4 to 6 weeks.

My question is: Should I apply now and revert back to my old address (my uncle's address) in the application, clearly showing that I lived temporarily for 3 months on the address on my 2016 Income Tax Return, with all other IDs having old address OR Should I apply for change of address on my Driver's Licence and Health Card, wait for 4 to 6 weeks for new driver's licence to arrive and then apply with new address in the application?

Note that the new address can change as well as I might move in the time between filing my application and citizenship test/interview/oath. Is changing my address after filing my application going to cause delays or additional scrutiny?

Thanks
Nisha

give mailing address as your uncle's address..this is the address they will send communication..home address can be any..don't worry about this and you can change home address in ecas later on, its afe and nothing to worry..only make sure mailing address is correct..and dont bother if driving license has new address on it or not or what address tax returns has....no body checks addresses on driving license or tax returns etc.
only when filing citizenship application make sure write correctly all addresses you have lived in last 6 years or after landing..that matters most

as long as you are living in canada and lived at canadian address that matters

there is a 0.1% chance that if some body asked during interview about addresses..just explain to them....

i have one suggestion for you that just give it little more time and do not apply exactly after 1460 days..wait like atleast 10 or 15 days more..its better...don't rush..if you have waited for 4 years you can wait another 10 or 15 days...just my opinion...good luck

Hello,
I had a request for citizenship test in Montreal for May 27, 2018, but I could not attend due to medical reasons. I requested a retest with supporting doctor certificates and also at the same time I requested a mailing address change to Vancouver as we will be there for a working visit for few months.
Its been 2 months since and no response. Is it normal? Does changing address reset the whole cycle or resets it partially? Let us know please
