Those are good skills for sure and the demand is going to be increasing for trained professionals. I am not sure about the Canada market. I have open this thread in a hope to meet people who are planning to migrate to Canada with mentioned background and we can do some networking beforehand.

I would suggest that if you citizen of the U.S.then don't leave. Trump is making rules for new immigrants and not for the existing one but it's your choice.

This information alone isn't enough for us to be able to tell you what your chances are of being able to move to Canada. If you want to come to Canada as a temporary worker, you first need to secure a full time job offer from an employer in Canada.

If you want to move permanently (immigrate), the process is a lot more involved and you'll need to research the requirements and options here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

Yes that will be great. I am in process of receiving FBI pcc and hoping to submit the application by Next week. Let see.
I did not found any job and honestly not even started hunting it. Will start after submitting the application.

I'm working in India for Digital Marketing of an IT company. Honestly, there is lot of negativity everywhere online about jobs in Canada after PR. Maybe the one's who actually got a job got busy in setting up there.

Also, this post has a mention of a whatsapp group for all marketing professionals in Canada. Any idea what's the number to join in?

I'm fairly young with less than 5 years of work experience, I'm afraid companies won't like that so much. I just came back to Canada after being removed as a minor and I just want to know how the industry is here. Should I take a survival job first and go back to school to up my credentials?

so far, as per my research and observation I think marketing is not strong field when it comes to job opportunity. Digital marketing is something is not so well developed field. So in a way I think one can create opportunities for oneself by working as freelancer or opening an agency which does not require big investment.

When you say your work ex is mostly as writer then I would recommend you to get the new certificates like Google analytics or adwords. This will really help you.

for sales and marketing networking is the Key... ALWAYS!

So I have received PPR and waiting for COPR and it looks like I may be landing in Canada in few months. Considering the market trend December jan are the slowest period for any hiring. I may land there around Jan first week so that I have enough time for settling down and Job hunting. Most probably British Columbia is the place I may prefer to settle. It's second best after Toronto/Ontario in terms of job opportunities. Let see.

Any input from more experienced guys will be appreciated.

Hi,

Brand Strategist here, with 10yrs experience in Design, Advertising and Marketing. I also draw cartoons. I received my COPR about a month ago and considering making the big move this December. Looking at Vancouver, Ottawa and Toronto as potential new homes. I am excited for this next chapter and can't wait to see what happens.
