I just took the test this morning and had a short interview. I was handed the oath ceremony invitation right there, for the next Thursday. This is a little faster than I expected. Instant "DM"

,, I already ordered my 2nd ATIP on 06/10/2017 from CIC ,,, however I ordered ATIP from CSIS on 06/05/2017 to get the csis their notes on my citizenship application ,, so far I did not thing hear from both ,,
do u mind to compare my new ATIP with urs once u got it ,, for sure we co do that using the private message ,,, thank you so much in advance bro

Finally after 6 months ..I received test invite today. Test date : 7/7/2017..I feel my test invite/test is at least couple of months late ..

one month back on June 10 , I ordered ATIP...I don't know whether that has any effect..

You might just get the ceremony invitation right after the test, like I did

Can we travel on existing passport ( not canada) , after taking oath..

At least you recieved an update before getting your ATIP record. Which means doesn't sound like the ATIP request does put the file on-hold!

I might be wrong but I believe asking for an ATIP report before the 12 months are over is causing them extra work and I can't see them being pleased about it.

Yep you're wrong. ATIP is in Ottawa and they only print out the (electronic) notes from the GCMS system. It's got nothing to do with "causing them extra work" and causing them to be unpleased.
ATIP is everyone's right, why do u think its available to everyone if they choose to use/access it ??

If you ordered the "physical file copy" then ofcourse the file would be removed from queue, copied and sent to applicant and then they put it back in queue. This means local office has to get involved which has the actual file.....However most people are not asking for this normally.

Yes you can, leaving the country(Can) is not an issue. But for coming back, dual nationals as well as Canadians need to have a Canadian passport.
