I have waited for 6 years. 3 years for work experience, and the rest for the launch of EE system.
Lets hope our wait will be fruitful :)

Edmonton does not have good scope for aviation jobs. Having said that, the scope is poor in Toronto and Vancouver as well. The best option for your husband is to network within the airline industry and try and secure internal transfer. Applying fresh for a job with and airline or airport handling agency is a tough call. I know this becuase I have 20 years experience in aviation and I am currently in Toronto on a visit visa trying to explore options.
The nature of job here is also different than it is in the gulf. However as long as you come with an open mind and are willing to learn, develop and change as required, you should not have any problems at all.
Hmmmm so u mean to say its goin to be hard for my husband to get a decent job in aviation!!!well let hope...how abt if he starts a course in his related filed?would tht help?

My sister and bro-in-law first moved to Calgary in 2012. She give birth to a baby handsome boy there too. They came back home after nearly a year, stayed home for almost year n half and couple of years ago they went to Ontario because my bro-in-law got in to Uni of Waterloo for his PhD. My sister says it was better in Alberta than in Ontario. Govt support and benefits are better than Ontario cos Alberta is a wealthy province compared to Ontario. Remember though, Alberta is heavily reliant on Oil price whereas Ont is not. In the end, it all comes down to what you prefer! I am a cityboy all my life, i would always prefer big city with dynamism and quiet places of Alberta only for city-breaks ;)
Thank you for the info!il show this to my husband aswel :)

@arunroy007, @Wandering Mind and @ivancabrer, we miss your presence here.
Also where is our most experienced friend @tjsecondtry ?
Sorry for disappearing without a word! And thank you for caring enough to miss me and to seek me out :)

I was a bit unwell past few days. I'm better now and back in time for the refresh party later today. Though looking at the number of pages here (that I'll have to read through and catch up with what has been going on in my absence) is giving me a headache ;)

Good luck to all the friends out here. I've missed you all!
