Yes, that's true. Canadian weather clothing are a bit expensive I've heard.Im in. Im thinking about a place to stay in first couple of months. Flat or a hostel/motel, what u say? No kids here. Only criteria is cheap because in the first few months all you do is spend money. Also, we're planning to land in October and a proper winter should start in December so we will spend a couple of thousands of dollars on "Canadian clothing" for sure.
Thanks for your response. I had sent an email and got a reply the same day actually. Stated that my "application was approved and was being processed as per the regulatory timeline". It want an auto response I believe as there was an actual human name at the end. It also stated "you will be receiving instructions shortly" . I think this was on 22nd June.Email might take time for a response. I mailed CIC 3 days back to find out where my application is and I still have not received anything beyond the automatic response!
Phone - It will take time. You have to keep trying. Try and use some internet calling thing or else it will work out expensive. Keep trying and trying and if you are lucky, you will get through to someone or else they keep bumping you off. Once you get through, you can ask them directly the status of your application. And if the decision is made, they will tell you that decision is made and you can expect your PPR soon.
If you can be patient, then the other option is to wait for a few more days. Tonite in Asia is Monday Morning there. And usually PPR is triggered around 4pm EST as per some posts I see on the forum. So thats evening in Canada. WHo knows, you might get a PPR one of these days too!
All depends on you. If you really want to know, your best bet is to call.
Oh wow. Then just wait it out. Go camping. Do something else and get your mind off this! LOLThanks for your response. I had sent an email and got a reply the same day actually. Any comments??
It seems they have changed wordings again....Your R10 just started. When it turns NA it means its over.
How did you apply without a COPR? They all want a COPR or at least a PPR mail. That's a very informative post I must say. Thanks.
Yes, as you told, I have been searching for these. I've registered with 'Nextstopcanada' pre-arrival services. it's a very nice service with webinars and video presentations.
I don't know if you will be getting PPR on Monday atleast cause its a public holiday here in Asia. Not sure if its a holiday in Canada:/Thanks for your response. It's a good constructive idea, but i am so scared to plan, obviously laid out basic details as where to go and stay, how to find jobs, but other then that like i don't think much of it, what if something went wrong scenarios start clouding my head, it will be very difficult to start here again, though most of the time I am very positive, but with IRCC none of us can be sure.Hey guys,
Since we've already filed our application and waiting for our PR, all we can do at present is to wait & watch, nothing else.
I was thinking, instead of predicting IRCC's processing timelines or other things, why don't we consider something else to discuss with one another?
I mean, if you guys don't mind of course, why don't we discuss & plan for our landing?
That's to say, it might be a matter of 6 to 8 weeks for us to hold visa in hand, and it might be difficult to prepare for landing at the last minute, we could discuss our own planning & preparation for landing. This way we can help one another for landing, and most importantly, we could spend this irritating time also.
We could start pre-arrival prep. What say?
It's a holiday in Canada too ASFAIK.... Mr Trudeau was wishing Eid Mubarak today to the nation, it was amazing to watch!I don't know if you will be getting PPR on Monday atleast cause its a public holiday here in Asia. Not sure if its a holiday in Canada:/
I like the part about decreased rejections, hope that its trueHey guys!
I was just checking out this news on social media about Mr. Ahmed Hussain, minister Canada, stating that they have decreased processing times for all Visas and also decreased rejections and trying to make more improvements for more fast track EE system, But I couldn't find any actual link to the actual news. If anybody has any actual link, please reply, so that this could be confirmed as a good news.
