Did you not include HR email id in reference letter?I received a call on 07Jun2017 and they did ask me about my personal details, IELTS score and current company HR email address. Same day they sent the email for employment verification.

Mid size IT ( product) company, subsidiary of a listed company
Did you get responsibilities from supervisor on plain paper with notary or on letterhead? What if supervisor doesn't remember our tenure and responsibilities on top of mind ? That's when they ask to email ?They first checked with my supervisor ( who happens to be the CEO) about my designation, duties, tenure and confirmed his designation. My supervisor didn't exactly remember my joining date so he asked for some time to check and revert. They sent him an email to confirm all the details along with the request that if he could also attach the reference letters which were issued to me earlier. He replied within an hour. Since then I am waiting to hear from CIC.

Of course, no one can remember all these things. Basic information verification is fine over the phone and rest all can be covered through email.Thanks. So if supervisor just acknowledges our employment and send the other stuffs later over official email, that should be fine right? Nobody could remember everything on top of their heads right.
