Bill C-6: Senate stage

There are five bills awaiting Royal Assent at this time. Does anyone know the reason for the hold up?

I think that this Bill helped a lot of us learn about politic here in Canada, I don't think that we need to prepare for our citizenship test in regard to how things work in the Senate

I think each and every one us are eligible to become lawyers by now.

I have a question though.
When will it get Royal Assent? Today? Monday? Tuesday?
And when will we know the "coming into force" date for 3/5?

Most probably before July 1st 2017... my personal opinion/analysis.

They are planning a Royal Assent ceremony, I wouldn't be surprised if they planned it on the 1st of July for Canada Day. Once it becomes law, CIC will issue a statement to say when the rules will be enforced
