CAIRO VISA OFFICE

Hi guys.

Below is my timeline.

My girlfriend is sponsoring me as an outland application. I am from egypt graduated university in canada and currently on a 3 year work permit in Canada working fulltime.

CIC received my application for permanent residency on October 19th 2016 and they started processing my application on December 15th.

I got my CSQ in Mid Febraury because i am applying from Quebec.

How much longer do you think i will need to wait until i get a response??

Any feedback would be appreciated

Your application is processed in Cairo or Ottawa?
For my husband, it took 2 months from the CSQ to receive the visa.
Did you try to contact them?

It was in Mississauga first then it was transferred to the cairo Visa Office. I believe its been in Cairo for 6 months and still no answer.
But the processing times do say 11 months.. what do you think?

Since you're already here on a work permit, I would wait...
11 month, this means September... You should get news very soon!

this is the 3rd week after we sent my husband passport to cairo visa office, still didnt hear anything back !
what do we have to do ?
should I contact the MP in canada ? or email the visa office directly ?
and I want to make sure that the visa office will send an email informing that the visa is ready before mailing it back !
any advice !

the same case here i sent it since 18 may and nothing shown till now i called them yesterday and they refused to answer any question just the say send email !!

I have just got a PPR, Have you guys sent your passports via VFSglobal? Or you just sent it directly to Canadian embassy in Nile Towers?
and What's the protocol for shipping the passport back by courier? How do we pay for returning our passports in advance? Using DHL?

We sent it by aramex, and would only accept payment to send it, not for return. Also, we sent it to the embassy in nile towers... As I have dealt with the VFS before, and they have stated they only deal with (study/ work/ tourist) visas, not immigration. Also, when I was in the embassy applying for my daughters passports, the people who required interviews for immigration, where in the same place...

Yes.. Thanks a lot for the info.
But how do they send back the passport? by aramex too? because I am afraid they will be using the national post in returning, the chance of losing passport with egypt post is high!

Hey don't worry!! They will send it with courier too!!! (No chance to take with national post!!) You'll have to pay for the courier when you'll receive it.

I am sorry but what type is your application?
I thought security clearance already done in CPC Ottawa, I am EE FSWO
