Hey have you ordered GCMS notes? If not, I recommend you doing that. Because if you've seen my timeline (scroll back a couple pages to last Friday when I got PPR), you'll see that it only took 2 days for me to go from N/A to IP2. I highly suspected the fact that ordering GCMS triggered everything for me - maybe because the VO/Analyst didn't feel like updating anything in the CIC account until the very end. I also emailed CPC-Ottawa in May and they confirmed their office had my application. But then again, it's all pure speculation at this point, I'll for sure share the actual details when I do receive my notes. For now, just keep calm, have faith and wait for PPR :)
Hey. Congrats again on getting PPR. I am CEC outland AOR 17 March. Can i order GCMS notes? My BG check is in progress since April. I am not sure whether it is IP1 or IP2. I emailed CPC-Ottawa on June 2nd and receive the following email :
"Please be advised that your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application."

Is this a general email or does that mean that my application is in Ottawa now?

Thanks

Thank you so much. Can I be hopeful that I may get my PR anytime soon?
Can't comment on the timelines, CIC is known for unpredictability in terms of timelines.
But it definitely means your file is being worked upon so good luck and hope you receive PPR soon

Thanks. Can we say that they have accepted my work experience letter and this is the last step?

Yes you can still order GCMS through an agent if you're outland (getGCMS.com) Legalfalcon had a very detailed post on everything you should know abt GCMS, I don't have the link but you can google it, should be pretty easy to find.
No, although the verbiage is general it does confirm that your application is at Ottawa.
If you're certain that your BG check status has remained like that, then you're likely still at IP1. However, it could also have moved forward without providing you updated in the cic account.
Another thing you could is to try calling them and specifically ask the agent for your status on criminality, eligibility, and security checks. From there you'll have a much better understanding regarding your case before receiving the GCMS notes. :)

Thanks. What is LVO? Also, is our BG checked in Ottawa?
LVO - local visa office
Usually at IP2, file is at LVO. But based on current trends, not all are moving to LVO.
First check of eligibility is performed at Ottawa.

So when we submit our applications they go to Ottawa for BG check and then come to LVO for final decision?
Really appreciate your help.

Hi Friends, I got email from CIC asking following information: Please help me what does this imply?

Dear (My Name), This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents: 

UCI Number - My Name: 

RCMP Criminal Record Check: If your residence period in Canada has been six months or longer since the age of 18, please provide us with a recent RCMP fingerprint criminal record check. This must be received at this office by: 2017/07/13

Usually it happens like this
CIC - intake office ( Nova Scotia)
CPC - usually Ottawa
LVO - usually the office closer to your location

Thanks. So should I wait for my application to reach LVO? Is there a way I can know when my application would reach LVO?

It may not go there at all. Usually it happens when your status is NA and your file is assigned to a visa officer. That Visa officer can be from Ottawa or LVO. You have call CIC and ask about your file. They may tell you.

Thanks. I tried calling them multiple times but operators are always busy and they disconnect my call.
