Do I really need an agent or a consultancy to get the spp student visa?

Hi everyone,

I have got the rejection once under SPP category. Now I am planning to apply again for different intake in same college and program. I just want to get the knowledge about the agents. First time I have applied with the help of an agent, they prepared my documents.(Though I submitted my visa file personally). Now I am preparing my documents by myself (Making SOP, Recovering letter, etc).

Do I need to take help of an agent or change the consultancy this time?
Where does the name of agent or consultancy come? I mean is there any document that specifies the agent or consultancy name? Does it make any difference if I apply with or without any agent?

P.S. To know more about my profile please read my previous thread here:
Please guide me on this. Suggestions on preparing documents are also welcomed. :)

I think you should apply under general category not under spp( as you cannot apply twice under the same category) and also your sop should be strong enough depicting your reasons that what is the difference between this graduate certificate and m.sc you have pursued.

What is the main difference between general category and SPP category?
Do you think if I apply with SPP category again with strong SPP then I may get the visa this time?

You dont have time to take chances ,i think you should focus on possibilities and general visa requires to show certain financial docs which you can check on cic government website.
Rest i can say dont waste time and apply for visa as already they are taking a long time for processing.

Alright. I will check the non-spp category document requirements.

You do not need an agency. You can do it yourself. If you are planning to use a consultant, find some consultant in Canada Iteslf....

I know some of them. They helped me in my processing. If you are interested I can give their details
