hi guys! i read your conversation here, i submitted my passport in VFS muscat here in Oman May 11, 2017 they told me it will take 2-3 wks but until now i didn't receive my passport back even in the tracking system is still in abu dhabi

hi dreb! yes same with me the girl in the counter told me 3-4 weeks but up to now no news,emailed the vfs and answered me average of 1 month for pr. btw what visa you are applying for?

hi no changes at all, i updated my file last march as i gave birth last jan, after few days got medical request . then after submission of medicals the next day i got ppr. submitted last april 19 but it took them 3 weeks to send a letter to repeat the medical of my husband(may9- medical done and submitted may 18).

I think the we can count the days after getting update in mycic Final Decision which will be changed from "Your application is in progress" to "Made"
If we got this update means they stamped the visas ,prepare the COPR , closed our file ,and send our passports back.
What is your option?

sometimes you will get your passport before showing decision made ..when u submitted your passport?

Thank goodness, I finally picked up my passport from VFS Doha on Sunday June 4. All in all (transit time + processing in Abu Dhabi) it took 35 days.
Also, in my case, the cic portal was updated on Wednesday May 31 and showed that my application was approved even before having the VFS tracker showing that my passport was dispatched from Abu Dhabi to Doha, so keep checking your CIC account. Good luck to all!

Thank goodness, I finally picked up my passport from VFS Doha on Sunday June 4. All in all (transit time + processing in Abu Dhabi) it took 35 days.
