I am having trouble to understand whether I can count on additional points or not: I already have Masters ECA deom WES, but I also have 1 year maîtrise universitaire from the French university (not Masters) - will it bring me any additional points?
When you want to have an equivalency, you can always use WES Tool Equivalency on their website.

Look at what I did for you:

Here is Your Provisional Degree Equivalency

Now that you know what your education is worth in Canada, get a WES credential evaluation to verify your credentials so they will be recognized by universities, employers, licensing bodies and CIC immigration programs in Canada. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Apply to WES
  2. Have your documents submitted to WES per instructions.
  3. WES prepares a credential evaluation, electronically stores your documents, and distributes a report to the institutions you designate. Your report never expires.https://www.wes.org/ca/students/

Credential 1
Country of Education: France
Name of Degree: Diplôme de Maîtrise
Name of Institution: Université Montesquieu
Equivalency in Canada: Bachelor's degree (4 years)

NOTE: Any degree equivalency provided is based on the information you have entered. It is not based on verified information or documents and may not be used as proof that you attended an institution or earned a degree. WES may change this provisional degree equivalency upon document verification and analysis.

Thank you pessacanada.

His original question was if it is going to give him additional points.
Because he already has a Master's Degree, it isn't going to earn him additional points. However, all post secondary diplomas declared should have ECA. If you have an ECA only for the Master's they surely will want to see an ECA for at least one bachelor's degree. Because it's post secondary and you would have needed it to start the master's.
If, however, you did that course after the master's degree, and you still have an ECA for your previous bachelor's degree and master's degree, then you won't need it. You would only need to do it for a PhD in this particular situation, as it would give you additional points.

Edit: iMayflower, if there's something not clear about it, please ask, don't be doubtful.

I wish i had focus level as yours. I daydream heavily these days lol. Maybe i should seriously give Meditation a go. I did that before too lol. I will continue to study french on my own for now, will try to try lol. As my sister says in Ontario, they offer free classes for new immigrants. So i now that i have a start in French, i will definitely continue after i get to Canada, hopefully :) Watching and reading is definitely a great thing to do. Even now when i see french texts or hear something french, it feels nice :) As for now, if the CRS score do not come to 403 by July, i'm gonna book IELTS and do all i can to get to CBL 9, cos that will be more than good enough for me as per current trend. Cheers :)
You will try to try? :D hilarious :)
Thank you for your nice comments.

About continuing to learn French while in Canada, that's my plan. I will plan a vacation to Quebec and will try to speak only in French. That'll be in 2 years from now, but I'll start planning as soon as I get to Ontario. :p

As for the IELTS, book it, and let's hope we all get our invitations in a couple of rounds.
I want to have Post-ITA anxiety already, this Pre-ITA one is killing me. ;)

Best of luck!

How about with two diplomas with ECA for
Skill Transferability factors - (Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer)

I got you, thanks for your comment, I just wanted to help him to decide if it is useful to have an ECA and claim for any points available.

Good luck dear friend!

We can only speculate it could be every two Wednesdays. But sometimes they've done it on Fridays or even other days. However, in 90% of ocassions they've done it on Wednesdays, every two weeks.
Because this is a Ray of Hope thread, we want to be positive and think it could happen this Wednesday, even if it's been only a week since last draw. Just because it happened last April that they did 3 back to back draws.

Lastly, you can search forums for questions that someone might have posted before. We try to be as decent and helpful here with all fellow applicants, but sometimes it's tiresome when in the same thread the same question comes multiple times.
Hope you can understand. We're all here to help each other.
Warm regards.

No need to read 17 pages but if you only went back for 1 page you could see answer to your question. And also in the end if something is really important to you as is for us here, about the draws, cut offs and documentation then you make an effort to find info on all sides rather than just asking random question. It's called being proactive!

Kind regards!

Guys,

Do u think June 6th changes will push the scores up?
We hope not.
Worst case scenario, the score freezes or goes up for one round, and then comes back down again.
But we really don't think the changes are going to have such a big effect.

An out of topic question: I hear that you'll find a lot of South Asians (especially Indians) all over in Canada.
Any clue, which cities/provinces have them the least? I feel Quebec would be one.
