They made it overly complicated. I don't recall which combination worked for me, but here's the gist of it:

1. Permanent residence -> Family class (spouses)
2. City of birth: hit space bar one (Thanks to other users here for for this helpful trick!)
3. Country of birth: PA's country of birth
4. Passport info: Leave it blank
5. Other info as filled in the application, and the most trickiest part come. At marriage status, I tried "single" after many times answering "married".

Should work!

Thanks. that worked. i dont know why they asks all other information to confuse the applicant if those does not work!

Hi everyone, new to the forum. My husband submitted the sponsorship forms end of April. Received by CIC around early May. I called recently. They said they were working on applications from late April. I would love to know if anyone received confirmation letters from CIC. Thanks.

Hi, welcome. I believe your application falls into the May batch. I believe that by confirmation letter you mean AOR - Acknowledgement of receipt. I believe some have just started to receive theirs. Check the May outland thread.

You are definitely fine with sending it through the form, so long as you have a temp number. Just make sure you receive a reply that it has been received. If not, follow up via phone.

We were told what our future number will be granted we submit the incomplete form, but to be safe we send it through postal service, rather than a web form. We were also told to send a copy of the pdf letter we got from them outlining what was missing alongside the revised form. This is so that they can add the revised/missing documents quickly to your file without any confusion.
Thank you so much for your help!!!

Ok, here is the thing.

Step 1: Get your wife's medicals done.
Step 2: You have mentioned that you are the sponsor. Your spouse has to wait for a notification in his/her Cic a/c for Schedule A. You need to give 5 business days after you receive your sponsor approval. In my sponsor approval letter, it was mentioned that my spouse will receive an email and notification in MYCIC account for schedule a + pcc + any other missing doc.

When your spouse gets the email, please login to see an actual notification in MyCIC a/c.
  • Under "View my submitted applications or profiles", Details will state "Your Action Required" and Messages will state "Unread"
  • When you click on "Check Status and Messages", there will be a request letter.
  • Also, to upload the files, you need to click on "View submitted application", and upload will be available for each document request.
Also, you need to submit the docs within 30 days from the day you receive the request letter in your MYCIC

Thank you so much that was a great help so in my sponsorship approval letter i was only told about the schedule a so I was confused weather or not to wait for a schedule a request on my wife`s email or linked account thank yous o much for clearing my doubts. Will be waiting for the shedule A and PCC request. and will look out for the option to appear in MYCIC. if it does not appear I will upload via webform and also send the physical copy as soon as possible. But I still need to wait for the request on my wife`s email right ???

thank you for the help that was really helpful

If your spouse has received the email but the upload has not been enabled:

Step 1: Call CIC and report the technical issue. They will direct you to do Step 2. Please do step 2 only after calling and confirming with cic as they can resolve the upload issue.
Step 2 to send Schedule A + PCC to CIC:
Upload physically signed copy of Schedule A + PCC via IRCC Webform (one of my friends uploaded electronically signed, CIC asked them to upload a physically signed one)
Step 3: Send a physical copy to CPC-Mississauga (this is done as IRCC Webform has a huge backlog)

For sending the physical copy via courier:
1) Cover letter explaining the whole scenario
2) On the envelope - state the following:
Applicant Name
Application #
Family Class - Spouse Outside Canada
3) Mailing Address:
Case Processing Centre – Mississauga
2 Robert Speck Parkway, Suite 300
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

thank you once again in advance

I do not see any issue . I don't know what part of it you didn't understand ? Atleast they are contacting you some way or the other. Just keep giving them what they are asking . Apparently their computer system is going through tough times and alot of candidates here are experiencing similar problems. Be happy and keep posting how things are moving.

Thank you sir that was a great help !!!!

Hi all, I can't find the preferred combo of keys to press in order to get through to the IRCC call centre. Can someone remind me what has worked for them? Cheers!

1 7 0 would be the shortest one
it is for express entry but when you tell them you are applying under family sposorship they will transfer you which will be really quick although it is not guranteed that they will always transfer you i tried 5 times like this out of which three times I got my call connected because of this reall quickly otherwise atleast 40 minutes of wait or most of the times due to high volume of calls you are not able to get through.

best of luck

Hi, does IRCC make requests for Schedule A, police certificate, and medical exam before or after the application gets sent abroad to the visa office?
