I know I am not worried about the medical as much but I was hoping this deadline will not pass. We all passed 8 month normal processing time and 4 months extra is too much. And who knows how much more?
You are right It's really disappointing what's happening to usI don't know if I had mentioned it before or not , I live in Montreal and one of my good friends works in immigration for student visa section, I saw him the other they and he said that immigration has a quota, he said for them they have issued visa up to December 2016 and from then to know they haven't issued a single visa. He said when the qouta is reached they stop issuing the visa until in comes down again so I don't know what to think anymoresometimes it doesn't make sense since a lots of women got their visa

I don't think this is true! For sure there are quotas but at this time of the year, I'm sure they have not yet been finished, because as we all know, so many people have got their visas in 2017 and visas are still being issued for other lucky people!

Hello everyone. I am back to Canada again without my husband. Sad reality, and the worst thing no one knows how much longer this will continue. The only thing left is to hope and pray.

Hello Manitobagirl. Welcome back! I hope you had a great time together. There is not much update expect one applicant (female) who got a visitor visa while she is waiting for PR.

No news on my side either:(

Found a petition from 3 years ago, might be useful for you guys from Iran to have a look:
https://www.change.org/p/chris-alexander-change-the-very-long-processing-time-for-iranian-immigrant-applications-in-ankara-visa-office-turkey

Not sure if this impacted the processing time, but maybe it's worthy to start a new one
My sister won a prize and is meeting with the governor general of Canada in a month. If you all want we can sign a petition and ask her to pass it to him and it may help. If not I am writing a personal letter on my behalf for my sister to pass it to him.

I also got a reply letter from Immigration Minister of Canada. Not much helpful, similar to the one Strenght2 had. The only difirence, it says that Canada does not discriminate male and females. And they just got too many spousal applications, and we have to be patient. Also saying if we want express entry, we have to have a good reason for that and contact v/o office. Anyways, same old same old.

I replied to them that this is definitely a discrimination against Canadian women marrying non Canadian not to let them live with their spouse and there should be a spouse super visa which will let the spouse enter Canada as soon as they get married. And I wrote why do I work for a Canadian company pay tax for others to start families and to use child benefit and free school and not being able to start my own family.

Also I wrote to them that I know people who come to Canada with a visitor visa and then they get married and they apply for work permit and indoor PR and they get work permit within a month and wait for PR as they legally work and live with their spouse in Canada. I asked the minister office to let me know if there is any CIC rule which will not let people do this and if not what is the difference between them and genuine people like us?

We should write back and reply this non-sense replies that they send to us and if every 10 of us write couple of times to the ministry something will change for sure.

This is the exact letter
Hello,

I wrote to the minster before. But I want to ask this question. I see many people are coming to Canada as visitor without mentioning that they are going to get married. Then they get married inside Canada and they can apply for work permit and PR at the same time and they get work permit within a month and can live and work in Canada with their spouse legally while they wait for PR. Is there any CIC rule which will not let couple do this? If so please advise me about it.

If no, What is the difference with someone who is genuine and who applies for PR from outside Canada from the beginning instead of coming to Canada on a visitor visa? Why should the PR takes for ever and what is the diff between the admissibility/risk of that applicant and the one who came as a visitor?

I know Canada pays a lot of attention to discriminations specially for women. Isn't this a clear discrimination against Canadian women getting married to non Canadians and not being able to start their family lives? Shouldn't there be a spouse super visa which will let the spouse to enter Canada as soon as they got married and be able to live together even on a visitor visa basis. Why should I pay 10 years of tax for others to use the child credits and free schools and not be able to start my own family at the age of XX? I appreciate your humanity and understanding.

Good morning. It is great you got it. I am waiting for mine for a while now. I have the same thing undertaking length (months) : 36. That may be the months you have to support your husband after he is in Canada, for parents it is 10 years. It means they cannot apply for CPP, etc before 10 years maybe something similar for spouse. Ahmelina generally knows the notes reading well. What do you have under security for example in admissibilities page 8, application page 22 and activity page 26 or so? What is the application assignment due date on page 2?

One year will be passed for us in 2 weeks too :(

Yes, strength2 is correct, 36 months means you comply to be financially responsible for your husband for 3 years.
Did anything change under security for you? (pages that strength2 mentioned) Check your latest Paper file history (approx. pg 30) as well, what date does it show and is location still blank?
