Hi,

Just wanted to ask that my medicals have passed on 26th of april but since then there is no change in Background Check, it's stagnant at Not Applicable since AOR and never changed.
Is there any one on same boat ? Or is it normal? I am FSW-O

My opinion: The Background check status cannot be used as a basis for anything. I got PPR while my status was still "Not Applicable."

It changed after I got PPR to "in progress," then changed to 'complete' after they had my passport copy in hand and the application was approved.

So before passport request you never saw any updates to your profile other than just Medical passed?

Accurate. Others have reported seeing the same thing. My opinion is, since the last update to the system (Jan/Feb-ish), the background status cannot be relied upon for predicting anything.

Ahhh... That's strange! Thanks a lot for your reply though. I analysed the tracker and almost everyone reported change in BGC soon after medicals passed. And it really got me worried. Also, I haven't paid RPRF upfront, so i hope they will contact me soon for the payment.

What stream are you applying under?

You've got some time to wait then. I would expect to see an update end-May/first of June at the earliest.
