Proof of fund queries

My pof consists of some money transferred from my other savings account and money i got from liquidating a portion of my investments. The investment account is jointly owned by me and my spouse. My queries are as follows:

1. How should i present the source of the fund that's in my savings account?
2. How should i present the investment account information? Also do i need to show the six month balance for this brokerage account as well? Would it be OK if i submit the e-statement that i receive everyday for every month-end date?

1) You should submit these-
- Bank balance certificate mentioning the final balance in savings account (bank does have its format),
- Statements of bank account for last 6 months

2) I don't know about investment account. But, you can not show e-statements, since the certificate must be on official letterhead with official stamp & signature.

Logically the investment account should probably have
1. Liquid investments
2. Stable and reliable investments... For instance stocks can fall anytime but say an L&T share will not crash...

I am not using the investment account as my proof of fund. I already encashed the amount i needed. But to show the source of that fund, i believe i need to present some documents of that account. I need to know what those documents are.

I think that's fine. Again, no expert but I have some experience with source of funds

I don't think you need to show them the SOURCE of the funds, since all they ask for is the final balance and statements of account.

Now, if you have transferred a huge amount of money into this PoF account, then you might need to show the source of this big amount. Otherwise I guess it should be fine not to show the source.

I'm not an expert of this. But, it's all what I understand about PoF.

For proof of Funds, I am getting a certain amount from my father as a gift, for which I will make a gift deed. My wife, who is also a co applicant is getting a gift from her father.
Do I need to make a gift deed for my wife too?
If yes, then do I have to submit her bank certificate?

Include the last statement from your investment account which shows the cash out amount along with an LoE explaining clearly that you cashed it out and transferred it to your savings (include that bank statement as well).
