Spouse work history

Hi guys,

My wife is the main applicant and therefore I am listed under spouse. Do I need to list my work experience in the EE profile even if we do not get points for it (because I have no work experience in Canada)? If yes, after receiving ITA we still don't need to submit any reference letter for my work experience, right?

i think the main applicant needs to put their work history , and not the secondary applicant (you)

The following sections appear for the spouse in the EE profile:

1) Personal Details
2) Education
3) Work History

So the third section I fill in with my foreign work experience? Even if we do not receive points for it?

You can leave it empty, your foreign work experience is irrelevant to your spouse's application.

I do believe you are right It's just after having been a while in the pool you start to get paranoid

But if I do put my foreign work experience in there it doesn't matter either, does it? I just don't want that all of a sudden they want my reference letters as well.

It matters because placeholders for you to upload your work experience will appear for whatever work experience you add in that section.

That's why you shouldn't over complicate the application and simply add that experience in the personal history section.

It is an automated system. If you include your work experience, the system will request reference letters.

So why don't they ask first under that section whether you have Canadian work experience? It could be simple: If you click yes you will need to fill in something, if you click no there is nothing to be filled in (because it doesn't give points). Why would they just leave it blank open?

I will cut your veins too if my application gets rejected. I am going by your suggestion. I have filled the EE form but not yet submitted it so not yet in the pool. I left my wife's work section empty and it says completed.
