WES fees

hi all,

i had a meeting with immigration agent this morning, and he said that WES fees are 382 CAD but on WES website it say 200 CAD,
how is that possible ? and she said as well that i have to pay directly to WES not through them ? do i doubt the are trying to rip me off,
am i missing something

No you are right, WES fees are $200 CAD. Are you sure your agent was referring to WES? $382 seems like a long way off from this list of Fees.

weird. am starting to get the feel i should apply by myself.

can you correct me if am wrong..

1.create an account at WES
2.get a reference number
3.request my university to add this number on my transcript and send the
4.wait 20 days
5.start a CIC account and add reports sent by WES

right ?

changes in bold

3.request my university to add this number on my transcript and send the transcripts to WES in the format they require (University seal must be on the Envelope)
4. You send a legible color copy of your degree to WES
5.wait 20 working days
6.Use the Come To Canada Tool after getting language scores and WES reports to create an Express Entry profile and then populate the profile with the Reference Number and the Canadian Equivalency Assessment sent by WES

right ?

Yes you send legible color copy of your degree. Transcripts must be sent by your University directly to WES. Ensure the form you complete and sign is also included by the University to support the transcripts. this page has the reference number and if the signed page is not sent WES will find it hard to match the degree sent by you to the transcripts sent by your University.

For international express courier they will charge 85 dollars which in total is 285 dollars. You have 37 dollars sales tax. So all together the amount comes to be 322 dollars. You may skip the international express courier I think if you opt for normal mail. I'm not sure on that part.

WES sends you the original Hard stamped copy of your ECA report (apart from the mail copy). This International courier (If you are outside Canada) is charge for that.

Something like paid return envelop from DHL/Blue Dart that we can purchase for passport returns etc.

I made the WES payment today and my bank confirmed that a total of CAD 322.05 has been successfully transferred . But upon checking application summary , it reflects that the total fees paid as CAD 272.05
the breakdown is indicated as below:
WES ICAP document by document evaluation - $ 150
Mailing option - International overnight - $ 85
Sub total -$ 235
13% harmonised tax - 37.05
Total - $ 272.05


pls could anyone clarify why this is?

I had selected 7$ standard one.

Actually, Im worried about the evaluation type.
Is WES-ICAP documenet by document evlauation the correct type of evaluation?

You should select WES ECA.

1 - Please ensure you choose WES Canada and not WES USA. The site looks the same but there is a Canada Flag on top. Ensure its Canada WES or else its not valid for CIC
2 - Please ensure you pick only the specific Canada CIC package. The others are for students, colleges, jobs etc and not valid for CIC.
3 - The total price for WES Canada package including 85 Dollars for Courier service comes to 322 CAD.
4 - I recommend you pay extra for the courier service. It will come in a max of 5 Days once evaluation is complete. If you chose standard, expect it to reach you in a few weeks to a max of 2 months depending on where you live.

THis is the wrong one. You need to choose WES ECA!
