Dear Champs,

If you reside outside CAN, how would you get the certified translation and more importantly how would you convince the IRCC/PNP that the translation is authentic? What proof can suffice this stuff? My current residence is in Riyadh - KSA.... Anyone experienced this before... please share your experience..... Thanks,

Hi cool_canada,

IRCC asked me to send them a translation of one of my degrees and I used https://cinchtranslation.com/

They were very easy to use (everything was online) and their translation was certified by the ATA. The first page they send you shows their credentials and their certified stamp. I had no problem with their translation when I sent it, so I hope this is helpful for you.

The best of lucks with your application!

I am wondering if someone uses translation that is not accepted by cic will they ask for another or that means a straight rejection.

Thanks VictorCA,

But I am looking for someone experienced in KSA. I am sure there are lot of applicants who translated their docs from here and were sucessful. It would be highly convenient for me.

Thanks,

If you use a non-certified translator you have to get an affidavit and notarize it.

Cheers :)

I used this translation service - http://taontario.ca/
They are based in Toronto but they accept documents online from anywhere. You just need to scan the oriiginal documents and upload them, and they will send you a scan of the translation notarized by a Commissioner of Oaths. You can then upload these scans to your application with IRCC. I used this service for my application and got CoPR without any problems.

The prices are here - http://taontario.ca/pricing/

It's $49 for the first page of a document and $35 for each page afterwards. Not sure if these prices include sales tax.

Here are some more Canadian online translation services I bookmarked while I was looking for translations (I haven't used any of them):

https://www.alllanguages.com/
https://www.mosaicbc-lsp.org/
http://www.lingo-star.com/

By certified you mean certified from cic or in my country?
CIC defines it as : "A member in good standing of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters in Canada."

Cheers ;)

Can't I use notarized translation of my document from my own country? Properly signed by an advocate with his official stamp and true copy written?

Also, What's the other document needed for identification, other than passport....National Identity card...?

If it's outside Canada, it has to be notarized by a notary public as far as I remember. But the notarization text needs to be in English or French so the officer will understand it and there are countries where notaries work only in the local language.
