Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello guys,

I'm in a very difficult situation here. I have 447 CRS points in Express and my 3 yrs PGWP is expiring in next two months (Aug 2016).

Please suggest ways to apply for Study permit again?

Few questions:

1. I've previously completed Diploma in Computers and Network, got 3 years PGWP and now I'm thinking of reapplying for Study by enrolling myself in any course (just to buy some extra time in Canada), please advise if it's possible?
2. Lets say I get enrolled in any course in any college, and while on study I get an ITA, Will be able to apply PR as normal?
3. Is there anybody out there who've done anything similar towards to the end of their PGWP?

Please help........

I tried to do similar thing but I didn't get it. Mine was 1 year pgwp I applied visitors 1 year while I was waiting AINP then applied study permit twice, didn't get it reason being I was temporary there, and I should leave. Apply for home country again.

How much did you score ielts?
You should have enough CANADIAN experience to qualify.
If you get study permit, you can apply PR if you get ITA.

Thanks man I really appreciate your quick response.

Trust me I've pretty much exhausted all my resources (max Ielts and everything else, problem is I don't have a degree only diploma).

BTW you said you applied for Visitor, Were you able to get Visitor Visa. How was the process I mean how did you justify? (Honestly at this point, Anything that keeps me here in Canada if fine with me)

Please share your exp.

I applied to restore my status as visitor after my WP extension was declined.
I applied twice for 6 months and got approved both times. Purpose of visit - tourism. Make sure you have enough funds in your account. i had more than CAD 12k at that time.

What about nomination ? which province you are in ?

Thanks bro that definitely give me some hope. I'll try study permit if that fails I'll go with Visitor and yeah I'll make sure to have enough funds before applying for visitor visa.

And in regards with PNP, No bro no luck at all. Been here in Ontario for over five years and as I specified in my previous notes, M lacking education eligibility (no degree, only diploma).

I've been here for almost five years now (2 yrs diploma and almost 3 yrs work) so you think that might jeopardize my Visitor Visa application (They'll be like tourism seriously???)

You recall the Visitor Visa process though, Was it online? What documents were required? and all other good stuff.

It all depends on the VO, officer looking after your file.
Visitor visa was online, it's like 4 documents in total. Application, POF, ID, photos, etc.

Hey dell2 i am going to apply wp extension without AOR and i know it will decline.. and did you get the option to apply restoration for visitor after wp extension got rejected? Or did you apply for restoration with your bowp??

I really want to know should i apply for visitor visa before my pgwp expires or is it ok to apply for bowp let it get refused and then apply for restoration with visitor??

Yes, I did get option for restoration.
I applied with LMIA which didn't get approve after 4 months. They gave me 90 days to restore my status so I did it with visitors twice 6 months each.
With BOWP I'm hoping it should be same but wait for someone has done it.
When is your pgwp expiring?

you are never on implied status if you apply for visitors
implied status works for work permit extensions only & BOWP maybe I'm not sure about that. Confirm with someone else.

Hey sngm1201,

If you're thinking of going back to studies, try to find the three year equivalent program for your current diploma. (pretty sure most uni/colleges offer them)

Then you can transfer your credits over and then try to complete the last year asap.

This way, you're not losing out on meaningless studies and graduating with the three year diploma should give you an extra 22 points. 447 -> 469 points.

Regards,
Kvn

The bridging open work permit (BOWP) is a way to keep a worker in Canada working while his or her application for permanent residence is being processed.

Bridging Open Work Permits and Express Entry

When an applicant for a federal economic immigration program that is processed through the Express Entry immigration selection system submits an electronic application for permanent residence, he or she receives an Acknowledgment of Receipt letter. This letter is automatically generated in the MyCIC account following the submission of the electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR). Applicants who are eligible to apply for a BOWP may apply immediately after receipt of this Acknowledgment of Receipt letter, instead of having to wait for a second Acknowledgment of Receipt letter issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

However, the application for a BOWP will not be processed until the completeness check has been performed at the Centralized Intake Office. BOWP applications received before the completeness checks have been performed will be held until they are ready to be processed. If an e-APR is found to be incomplete, the applicant is no longer eligible for a BOWP. In these cases, the application for a BOWP will be refused.

To be eligible for a bridging open work permit, the following parameters must be met:

The foreign national is currently in Canada;
He or she has valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within four months;
He or she is the principal applicant on an application for permanent residence under the FSWP, the CEC, the PNP or the FSTP;
He or she received a positive eligibility assessment on his or her application; and
He or she has made an application for an open work permit.

WP extension can be done via LMIA or spouse's open WP
