I just got back from my intreview in San Salvador , we got Approved and we were told he will send us an email in 3 weeks to redo medicals, and after they will ask for the passport ..... it was a good intreview not to long , my boyfriend was intreviewed first and then me.

Some info about how from May 26 we can start chekin the status of our aplications, hopin this will get us
better info than the one we can get now, just hopin.

Which paper applications can I link to my online account?

Starting April 9, 2016, you can get more detailed status and your mail online for some applications. You will need to have an account. You can link the following paper applications to your online account:
•Visitor visa
•Work permit
•Study permit
•Visitor record

Statuses for applications submitted on paper under the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled trades program can already be checked online through your online account.

We will be adding new application types throughout the year:

May 26, 2016
•Family sponsorship (conjugal partner, common-law partner, spouse and dependent child) (Excluding applications to become a sponsor)

June 9, 2016
•Family sponsorship (other relatives, orphaned sibling, nephew, niece, grandchild, child to be adopted in Canada, child to be adopted by a permanent resident in Canada, parent and grandparent) (Excluding applications to become a sponsor)

July 23, 2016
•Canadian Experience Class (applications made before January 1, 2015)
•Federal Skilled Worker (applications made before January 1, 2015)

I'm looking to marry my Venezuelan girlfriend this year in Argentina. She currently lives in Margaritas Island. With the current state of the country. We agreed to go Argentina stead for 8 weeks. Can you guys give me preparations on what to do to prepare for sponsorship application before I actually go marry her. I don't want to leave Ottawa and I come back and I can't apply for sponsorship. I recently found out Canada accepts all legal marriages and I need to prove my marriage is legal.( I guess by translating from Spanish go English legally). I'm seriously so happy there are Venezuelans out there going through these process. I thought be impossible since Air Canada canceled all contracts and services with Venezuela travels. Hi calvin, yes the ,marriage certificate should be translated to english, she have to get you for the aplication a birth certificate, a police cleareance check
and she can do the medical upfront, im not from Venexzuela, just tryiing to give you ideas, i know theres venezuelans aplicants here that will give advise too

I think if you haven't send the police check originally, they will proceed with checking criminality before interview, if necessary. Have you ordered notes to see if there's any indication of interview?

Does she need to bring her documents(birth certificate, police clearance check and medical documents) to me for the sponsorship application before I see her in Argentina? Do I need the real copies or can I photo copy them and bring them back to Canada? I'm just a little concern cause if we're missing some documents or what is required for the application. Does she need to send the copies by mail? Cause in my mind Venezuela is such a mess, not even sure can she send physical mail even out of the country without it getting lost. Unles everything is done electronically, I guess this question will need to be answered specifically by someone that lives in Venezuela now.

Country specific rules are different. These forms may get updated anytime...It depends on the day you are going to apply. But i would expect only minor changes, if any.

There are 3 checklists you need to refer to. 1 check list for Sponsor, 2 checklist for immigrant ( Country specific instructions, and General instructions ).

Mexican residents not required to send police certificate upfront .
I ordered notes 2 months after AOR2 and there is no indication to interview.

Good Sunday Morning everyone! We are finally back from our travel adventures so my first order of business is to get together with our Latino friends!! SO, who's up for another fiesta Latina for immigration groups friends??? We are willing to host a get together at our humble home in Cayley, Alberta, just south of High River, which is just south of Okotoks, which is just south of Calgary lol. It's about a 30 minute drive from the south limit of Calgary so plan accordingly, i.e. pack a lunch .Our target date is Saturday June 4th (before everyone gets busy with summer activities) at 4:00pm until Midnight. We would like to do de traje pot luck again but as the host house we will do a carne asada. Plan to bring your best latin pot luck dish again as well as any beverages you may wish to enjoy for the occasion. It'd be great to improve on the number of attendees over our first awesome get together. Whether you live in Calgary, Fort Mac, Edmonchuk, Lethbridge, Cranbrook, Medicine Hat or out in the boonies, you are welcome! We will likely need some of you to bring a couple chairs as our house is not near as big as Kevin Aughey 's was. I have posted this on Mexi-can spouses as well.
