NOC for data analytics

Hi,

My job duty mainly involves extracting data from database and carry out data mining and analysis to provide insight to business users

May I check what would be the suitable NOC for such job description? Would 2172 - Database analysts and data administrators be a suitable NOC?

NOC code is independent of Job designations. NOC code depends on the matching up of a candidate's job duties with the job duties of a particular NOC code. There should be atleast 60 to 70% match between your duties and those mentioned in a particular NOC. Once you identify this code, then it becomes your intended NOC code for Canada immigration.

If you job duties match up with 2172, only then it becomes your NOC code.

If you type in "analyst" to search the NOC database, you'll see that there are LOTs of NOCs with analysts, but you have to be more specific about the kind of data you are analyzing...

Because under NOC:4031 and 4032 , it shows Bachelor of education is required, any help will be appreciated.

I am CEC inland and worked in data analytics for the past 5 years. My reference letter does not state in detail my job duties since my employer -Canadian university- provided the job description of my position, which includes a summary, detailed duties and qualifications required.

Then I posted a message (using the form given by the above blue color URL) mentioning my duties and requested assistance to find a NOC code that matches my JD. But they just sent details about NOC from canada.ca website.

Is there any other method that I can know my NOC code ?

Hi liambll, My job duty is same as yours and I use QlikView, QlikSense and Tableau for the mentioned duty. Which NOC should I chose? Which NOC you chose in your EE application.
