Chances for getting Visitor visa for Pakistani Student in Germany?

Hello ,
I am going to apply my visa in the end of December in Germany but my current status is Student in Germany and i am from Pakistan.
I need to know how many chances i have ?
What i have :
1. Study ties that i will return back to Germany after staying in Canada for 2 Months - As i want to spend my vacations there.(I have admission letter)
2. Invitation letter from my Canadian Friend and Client (i was working for them online and now she become my friend and wants to show me Quebec)
3. My Germany bank statement in which i have sufficient funds to buy Air Tickets (Food , residence will be provided by my friend and written in invitation letter)
4. My father's bank statement though i don't need them i think
5. Flight tickets - but i will travel to Spain from Germany and will come from Spain to Germany but i will travel to Canada from Spain.
but i did not buy Air tickets from Spain to Montreal.
I have booked my tickets on 25th July to Spain and 05th of October 2016 from Spain to Germany
between 1st August to 30 September i want to be in Canada

6. I have valid visa of UK until April 2016 and i traveled to UK for a week attended a Conference.

My Questions are :
1. Should i buy air tickets in advance ? i have fear i will loose a lot of money if visa will get rejected/
2. What other things i keep in mind ?
3. If my chances are good?

Hi,

Your only ties in Germany are your study program. However, as you plan to be on a long vacation in Spain (two short visits) and Canada (long visit), these study ties do not appear to be strong.

Does this vacation coincide with your university holidays?


1. Two months is too long for a vacation in Canada. Do keep it to 2-2.5 weeks max. + have a definite purpose of visit

2. Submitting only an admission letter will not prove your study ties.

3. Would your host mention/would you provide any evidence that you worked for her online earlier? This is a red flag as it could indicate that you may work illegally during your visit.


You can submit provisional tickets/flight itinerary and state you will book confirmed tickets when your TRV is issued.

Do you work part-time?

What other ties can you show to Pakistan?

Purpose of visit is to see life of Canadian Villagers , to understand culture and traditions of Canadians , to see festivals , to visit historical places and to see how my client work etc etc etc but i will not work during my holidays it is sure on both ends because it is a kind of vacation package which my client and friend will afford for me.
So i have in my mind that after spending good vacation time there i will come back in Germany to finish my studies and then i will return back to Pakistan from Germany. So may be i will not have time to visit Canada after my Studies that are my thinking's.
But how 2 Months can be shorten to 2.5 Weeks because i know i need more time to explore QUebec and life of people there ?

Yes , in invitation letter she provided this information that i have worked for her and i also work for her online currently.

Hi,

IMO you should not apply for a TRV based on your current situation/details. There is a strong possibility of a refusal.

Also, you are applying way too ahead in advance. The current average processing time at the Vienna (Austria) visa office is 17 days.

CIC may not check your university website for the holiday schedule.

You must provide proofs for your study ties:
Letter from the university authorities stating you are a genuine student who attends regularly and holidays are from XX date to XX date + study fee receipts for the next academic year + mark sheets/project proofs + proofs for on/off campus accommodation beyond your intended Canada visit dates (if any)

CIC is not going to buy this purpose of visit. One can spend an entire lifetime in Canada.... and yet one can continue discovering Canadian life/culture/traditions.

The huge red flag is *wanting to see how your client works* = indicates a strong possibility to work illegally during your visit.

Another red flag.... you *need more time to explore Quebec and life of people* = possibility of overstaying. Why would CIC issue a TRV for this purpose?

If you want to appear as a genuine visitor + a genuine purpose of visit then I strongly recommend you keep your visit to 2-2.5 weeks max.

The UK General Visit Visa is normally valid only for 6 months..... also it will expire by the time you visit Canada.

You can, however, state the UK visa details + purpose of the UK visit in your cover letter.

Oh my God , i did not think too much complexities since i don't need to be physical there to do work because i can work for them online. Any how i am feeling that i should mention 2-2.5 weeks for my stay there with my friend.

I always try to keep my plans in advance so i can buy cheap tickets and to make other alternative plans but please tell me if i can be rejected on this basis ?

The thing is my client(Friend) thought that this can be proof the way she became my friend , so in other cases if she will not mention this thing what she should mention ? what i have to show them that how we became friends ? what are alternatives according to you?

I will follow this and i am thinking to reduce my visits , though it is painful for me as i have planned all places and events which i will attend etc .

The fact i can also afford food etc but she thought this way that Embassy will think i am student so she mentioned this thing.
Any ways is it good statement for 2.5 weeks ?

Yes , in both cases i have visa of Germany for 2 years and it will expire on December 2017 and i will visit in August 2016.

Yes , i am following rules and i am legally allowed to do work 20 hours/week and i only do part time work. I have evidences.

The other thing i thought to apply in March when i will get my result of 1st semester.

It's best to apply in March 2016 (and not now) because you'll be able to provide more evidence of your student ties + admission to the next academic year, etc

The visa officer may/may not go through your passport to figure out visas/visits. So you must provide complete details in the Cover Letter:
1. Your Germany student visa/alien resident permit

2. Your UK visit visa (including entry/exit dates + proof of 1 week visit)


You may also want to include proofs that you do not work beyond the stipulated 20 hours/week limit.


I still maintain there are red flags in your Canadian client inviting and hosting you + duration/purpose of visit does not come across as genuine (but gives an impression that you may work illegally during your visit)

But now i have plans to visit for 2 weeks only and i will ask my Client(friend) to give me another invitation letter.is there issue again ?

Even if you reduce the visit duration, the issues are (as I see it):
1. Applying from Germany where you do not really have strong ties

2. Your Canadian client inviting and hosting you + you still work for this client

3. You do not have any strong ties to Pakistan too

4. I'm not sure what evidence you will provide to convince CIC that you do not exceed the 20 hours per week limit


On a side note:
Does your family in Pakistan transfer money to your German bank account? Or the transactions are only from your Canadian client?

I am working on Upwork and online website to work as freelancer and on that platform i can show my work history per week easily
On a side note:

No , i transfer all the money here it means i am independent . i work , i live , i study , i make tour but yeah my father's bank statements are very strong like he is business man.

Do include proofs for both these points i.e. your 20 hours work limit + your dad has transferred money to your German bank account (you can include his bank statement to support this)

But if i tell the truth , i also want to apply for Quebec Selection Certificate in January 2016 when Quebec Immigration authorities will open online tool to submit applications for Immigration and i am eligible.
So it comes another confused part .
What can be scenario to get visitor visa in that case ?

You must state all previous/ongoing applications for visas/immigration in your TRV application form + the cover letter

As you will apply for a TRV in March, your situation could change due to the Quebec application. So you'll have to see how things work out for you at that time
