Hey guys,
Did you guys get your chartered accountancy certificate assessed?
I'm asking this because under the "Employment Requirements" under NOC 1111, it mentions a university degree and some sort of an accounting certificate.
I'm masters-level educated and a CMA. I had already sent my papers to WES but did not include anything regarding the CMA because I read some people saying WES only processes academic credentials.
1.5+1 years (2 jobs) of my work experience fall under 1111, and I'm slightly apprehensive that CIC may reject my application because I did not get my CMA assessed.
I can potentially attach my CMA certificate with the work reference letters for these 2 jobs, but then I'm wondering if I would be potentially inviting unwanted attention, because for my first job, I passed all the exams during my time there, but only got the certificate one month after I left them (when I essentially started my 2nd job). The requirements also mention "several years of on-the-job training", which I'm not sure where that puts me in regards to the timing of my certificate.
If you've applied under NOC 1111, it would be useful to know 1) your current status (EE, ITA, PR), 2) whether you are a chartered accountant 3) whether you have included your accountancy certificate in the EE profile 4) whether you have gotten an ECA for it?
Cheers!
