I got one year exclusion order for overstay 6 years ago. They told me I can apply for visas after a year, but is there anyone really got permission to enter Canada again after they got exclusion order.

I just want some hope, as people at border always tell u that u could apply after one year, but I never find someone really got a visa and come back after they get exclusion order.

Anyway, anyone got good news please share with me

Are you applying for PR through spousal sponsorship?

From what I gather, people that have had exclusion orders are able to renter Canada, but they also need to apply for ARC (authorization to return to Canada) when requested to do so by the visa office assessing the application. This will cost more money and take extra time, but if there are no other hurdles and the relationship is seen as genuine, you should be able to enter Canada after obtaining the ARC.

This is the thing, people all say it should be ok, but I want to know if someone actually got visas.....

I am pretty sure rhcohen2014 (a regular member of this forum) had an exclusion order and they still got their PR visa.

Thank u so much!

Good news keep coming please

When your exclusion order is up, u dont need ARC. Are u applying through spousal sponsorship? If the relationship is genuine, no worries. Exclusion order is like a little punishment. Santa told u to be good girl or boy for one year :)

thank u for reply! Again I wonder if it just our wishful thinking, I have been waiting for sponsorship for 5.5 years since the day we apply, and we have been a couple for 13 years. I don't know what more can prove we are genuine.....

where are u from? 5.5 years outland sponsorship? did u hear any news all this time?

Yes, Outland application, we requested couple times of hearings, they have been followed up a bit, then no news......

I hope I can read more people with similar cases got their PR...

had an exclusion order 2011-2012. applied for PR in 2013, got approved in 2014. no issues or delays because of the exclusion order.

after the exclusion order was lifted, i was able to visit canada often. i was always pulled into secondary inspection and always had my proof of ties and/or proof of PR application with me. in the beginning they always looked at my ties, after my pr app was submitted, they just confirmd it was in their system. i never had to get an ARC (because i wasn't asking to enter before the ban lifted) and never had to do that document of reentry( not sure what it's called).

exactly. or as the immigration officer told me "you are trying to put the cart before the horse. we are giving you the time to do things the right way". all they want is for you to follow THEIR rules, not make up your own.

I think my husband got the approval as a sponsor, but really no real move for 5.5 years.

I don't want to be the one tell horrible story, but it is true!!!!!

We have submit for an official complain, required a hearing, and then hired a lawyer and request another hearing. All they do is just follow up a bit and ask for several questions and then nothing!
