My nikah nama was in English and I submitted it as it is. Nikah nama in English has been available for a long time and there is no reason to believe CIC thinks that way.

That's the thing, I submitted it as is too. This is a point from an email I got from cic: they were requesting:
Original Nikkah Nama with certified translation; the only copy provided with your original application was the duplicate English-language version.
Now, you know how you have a copy and your husband probably has a copy of the nikahnama as well. I'm the wife and I sent my copy. After this email, we took a close look at my husband's copy of the nikahnama and at the very top, it says "triplicate" and then we took a look at the photocopy of the nikahnama we sent to CIC and at the top, that one says "duplicate". Then, I had to draft a whole email explaining that this is not a duplicate, it is the original thing complete with quotes from the West Pakistan rules under Muslim Family Law document. I just wanted to know if anyone else went through this and how they answered their email. Can you look at the remaining copy of the original nikahnama you have, and maybe tell me if yours says duplicate or triplicate at the top? It would really help.
