Doctor called me back again to meet him (10days after completing my medicals)

Hello,
I went to the Dr. KEUHLMAN in Etobicoke for my medicals which was completed on the 28th of Feb. Today I recieved a call from one of the nurses telling me that the doctor wants me to come back to see him again to speak to me about something.

Now, I know that usually when there are any abnormalities in the test results the doctor recalls the applicants to speak to them. (This is what the nurse told me), but the nurse also added that it is not something "urgent", but the doctor wants to speak to me about something and since he is on vacation this week, I have an appointment with him for next Tuesday.

I am extremely worried as to what he wants to talk to me about.

Is there anyone of you who has been in this similar situation?

Please tell me and share your experience with me. As I am very very worried.

There was someone else in the forum that had to go back for some additional testings. I think it was cardiology. Maybe your doctor wants to make sure about something and send you to do another test(s) as well.

This happened with me as well. I got a call from doctor after 4 days of my meds done. On phone they suggested nothing to worry about but when i went there they informed me slight abnormality on my chest x ray report. There has been a prominent marking on my left lung. though i never had any TB or Pneumonia in the past. My file will go for review and this will add additional delay for 3-4 months. But doctor clearly told me that this will be a speed bump but immigration will not stop me because of this. As per CIC guidelines for chest x ray w.r.t any abnormalities found:

Where there is an abnormal chest radiograph but no history of previous active tuberculosis, or there is a history of previous tuberculosis with or without previous adequate treatment, the DMP should generally note the abnormality and send the file in for review by the regional medical office. In most cases the file will be furthered until:

a minimum of two chest films, taken at a minimum interval of three months, have a stable appearance; and
three sputum samples taken at least 24 hours apart, examined for acid-fast bacteria (smear), and incubated for six to eight weeks for tubercle bacilli by standard culture methods are negative.


Hence these are minor niggles but NOTHING MAJOR to worry about and am expecting better results for you. All the best and STOP worrying for anything serious. In my case am worried since my current closed WP is expiring in july so i have no option other than BOWP. Applying next week.

Also, to add further doctor did another chest x ray and 2nd report is completely fine. Fingers crossed !!!

Yes, same happended to me. I had to do another blood test as some info in my test were missing. Once you complete any test; follow up with the doctor within a week to make sure what the status is or if your results have been sent. Mine forgot to send after over 4 months - Gradually I did advised CIC by emailing them that I completed the tests and if they did receive the results.

I then travelled 5 hours to see my doctor to complain why my test were not sent, I advised CIC by email the same day. He sent the results on a Friday and next Monday I received PPR request.

The nurse repeatedly told me over the phone that it was not something that was urgent, but, when I read your message, you are telling me that you got a call 4 days after your medicals to have your tests done again, so it means, that you were on the urgent list?

I must admit that I am exceptionally worried right now, also because, the doctor is not in until next week. So I have to wait until next Tuesday now.

Avi, thank you for the message. You know anything related to doctors, I am very afraid about! I am afraid of hospitals in general!

Even though the nurse told me that I was not on the urgent list. I am just hoping that the doctor will not give me any bad news! You know! I cannot stop worrying!

I did mine on February 26th. The doctor called me on March 3rd to do more tests. I did the additional tests on March 5th. The doctor called on March 6th to confirm that everything was fine and he uploaded the results the same day.


I told the doctor during the checkup that I once had high liver enzymes when I did a medical checkup 4 years ago. Even though, I told him that my doctor at the time told me to do the test again and also Hepatitis A, B, C screening tests which I did and every was negative and the enzymes were at normal level, he told to bring copies those test results. He said that, it not really a requirement for the Immigration medicals but he already put in the system that I once have hepatitis and he want to clear it from the system. He explained that Hepatitis is defined as any abnormal elevation of liver enzymes so he had to make sure the every is ok. The same afternoon, I dropped the copies of the test results at his clinic. And when I saw him on March 5th, he told he reviewed the tests results that I provided and that every fine but he still wanted to do the liver enzymes test which I did the same day (Since this was not requirement for Immigration medicals, I did it for free) . He received the test results the following day and called to tell me that everything was fine.

When you are recalled to see the doctor again. Did you have to pay for the consultation.

Because, I have been asked to bring $60 with me when I go to see the doctor on Tuesday next week.

Priority, I am very happy for you that everything turned out fine! When you went to see the doctor again did you have to pay some money for the meeting with the doctor?
