TRV APPLICATION- NO RESPONSE FROM CIC

HELLO EVERYONE
I HAVE APPLIED FOR TRV ON OCT16,2013 THROUGH ONLINE APPLICATION. BUT SO FAR I HAVENT RECIEVED ANY EMAIL REQUEST FOR SUBMITTING PASSPORT. MY FRIEND APPLIED FOR TRV JUST 2 DAYS BEFORE ME AND HE RECIEVED PASSPORT SUBMISSION EMAIL 4 WEEKS AGO FROM TODAY AND GOT BACK HIS PASSPORT WITH VISA LAST WEEK. BUT I HAVEN RECEIVED ANY EMAIL. I CALLED IN CALL CENTRE 3 WEEKS AGO THEY SAID YOU APPLICATION HAS BEEN APPROVED AND YOU WILL BE GETTING EMAIL SOON. BUT AFTER 3 WEEKS NOTHING.
I SENT 2 EMAILS TO CIC TRV DEPT. BUT THEY DONT RESPOND.
NOW LAST WEEK I APPLIED THROUGH PAPER APPLICATION AND ALSO ATTACHED A LETTER EXPLAINING THIS SITUATION.

I AM GOING TO MY HOME COUNTRY ON NEW YEAR. AND I M NOT SURE I LL GET MY VISA BY THEN OR NO..

CAN ANYONE PLEASE SUGGEST HOW I CAN GET IT FASTER OR ANY OTHER WAY?? I WILL REALLY APPRECIATE THANKS..Smiley

I have submitted my application for renewal of my entry visa to the Ottawa office which received it on October 9 2013 and still haven't gotten it back. I've called the call center many times and have gotten the same response " IT should be sent back to you soon". I have emailed the Ottawa office and have gotten one answer last week saying my application is still being processed and they cant give an estimated time left for it to be done, im was planning to leave in a week to go home for Christmas but still no word from Ottawa office, i check my tracking number daily(Canada post) and same this appears , no tracking number found, does anyone else have this problem?

i know..something wrong with their system.. i applied online and get no response till now then applied paper application and got trv...this means they have lost the online application...because i did not got any email to submit passport.

Hey, so did you apply for your TRV through a paper application as well and did you get your passport back?
Please let me know, as I submitted my paper application on October 26 and till now I have had no response from them. I emailed them 4 times and call center agents seems to know nothing about Ottawa office. I did put an urgency on my application to get my passport back to me as I already cancelled my tickets that I had booked for December 13, I need to visit back home as soon as possible. I can't seem to find a way to contact the Ottawa office, thinking for going there in person on Wednesday 18th- but doesn't look like anyone had any success with that till now.

Bro its sad that you had to cancel your tickets.
For my case, YES i did paper application as well when i did not get any response from them on my online TRV application.
But call center people were saying my online application has been approved but i was not getting email for passport submission. Therefore at last i went with my paper application and also sent a letter explaining all the situation about my online application .

I applied paper application on Nov20,2013 and got my passport with visa on DEC3,2013 at my home( in 9 days).

I know its really frustrating situation when you cant do anything. But thats their process of working upto my knowledge.

And still waiting for reply today 3 weeks over, at the time of submission the process time was 19 days.......

Hey did u receive ur trv? I applied same as you like 21st dec online and i am still waiting for mine.
