Time span for evaluation report to reach India from WES: Normal mail scenario

Dear all,

Can anyone share there views on the normal time span that is required for WES report to reach India if it is delivered by normal mail? My report has been dispatched on November 29, 2013.

I applied from Hyderabad-India on 29th of November 2013 and received my ECA report on 7th of December 2013. So you can say after 9 days. I must add, I selected the cheapest mailing delivery method by WES. It saved my lots of money. I sent my B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D degrees for evaluation. I will highly recommend WES services after my positive experience

applied on 29/11 means you sent your documents on that day right?
only 9 days? that's great.
I applied online on 7/11 and waiting to receive my transcripts from university.

have u sent all sealed envelopes in one envelope?
please explain those procedures too. that will help for new applicants.
Because in April 2013 the procedure was little different.(i think they had sent their documents in separate envelopes)

no dear....money got deposited in WES account on 29th of Nov and from that point it took 9 days for the ECA arrive at my door-steps. I sent my documents somewhere around 20th of Nov. What I did was I obtained the respective envelops (sealed one) from respective universities and put them in one envelop and sent directly to WES.

my wife z applying for WES evaluation for her bachelers and masters degree, it appears from your post that they do not take much time for evaluation, i wil b seeking your help intermittently bcoz th process seems a bit confusing.
one question: what did u send? the attested photocopies of the relevant documents as described or the university sent itself (as described )?

Dear Arvind,

Please follow the steps summarized below (my personal experience):

1] Get the Xerox copies of all your mark-sheets and degrees

2] Go personally to your University or Institute (if the Institute is Deemed to be University/Autonomous) along with the Xerox copies and the originals. I will advice you to intimate your University/Institute in advance that you need this sort of attestation for the ECA purpose.

3] Request either Registrar or Controller of Examination of your University/Institute for his/her attestation. Attestation means 'having a signature and stamp' of the authorised signatory.

4] Collect the attested documents and put them in an envelop (it is better if the University provides an official envelop having its name, complete address, phone/fax number, e-mail ID etc.).

5] Most important, download the application forms from the website of WES. Fill it yourself as much as you can. However, you will need to put some information of an official signatory (e.g. Registrar/Controller of Examination) like his name, title, phone/fax number and e-mail ID, his signature/stamp. He needs to include this information at the bottom of the application forms.

6] Now, put all the attested copies+application forms in an envelop and stick it properly. Seal it, and get it signed+stamped from an official signatory on the envelop as well. He will know where to and how to put his signature/stamp. I will suggest you to use an envelop which is ligned with thin cloth from inside.

7] Write accurate address of WES on the top left and your details on the bottom right.

8] Dispatch this envelop by DHL or any other renowned international courier service to WES POSTAL ADDRESS. You can dispatch this envelop by yourself.

Note: If you are from 'Medical' background, WES is not the right agency to do your ECA. The agency is different for MBBS/MD/MS etc. people.

1) From the web site of WES (and from your post) it is understood that one copy of evaluation report will be sent to the applcant free of cost by post (not email) for applicants in overseas also(India) -pl correct me if I am wrong.
2) We can show our indian adress in the application- correct?
3) If we can send the packet ourselves by DHL, we can show sender's adress as our adress-not university's adress on the packet ?
4)How did you pay the fees?
5) Can we apply online and pay online using credit card and then send the certificates packet by post?
6) Shall I attest the marklists by University official or get a consolidated transcript of marks instead as the fee for attesting many semester's marklists (BTech) will turn out to be huge since universities charge per marklist?

5) Correct, you have to apply online and pay the fees by CC and then dispatch the envelop by DHL or UPS. I will suggest, first get your envelops and then apply online and pay the fees.

6) Get attestation on semester mark-sheets, combined transcript and degree certificate and any other supporting document that you may produce. Get all the documents attested. At max, what will happen...WES will discard the unwanted documents.

By 'overseas' I meant countries outside canada.In my case I am residing in India.
Have they sent the report to India in your case? (I am under the impression that you are also from India)

I am sorry to reply you back late. Actually, I was stuck-up with foreign delegates yesterday and came very late last night. So could not reply immediately. Yes, my address which I had mentioned was in India and not overseas as I was in India that time.
