BG turns green once FP's are cleared. It's unlikely you'd receive any further updates than that.
It seems the bottleneck is application processing in Vancouver and from what I've seen on here, most applications from residents of the GTA seem to go to Vancouver.
Given the 8-month processing time, I believe I will have my LPP completed probably mid-May to end of May and given there are many Nov and Dec applicants still waiting for their oath, I am counting on mid to end of July to maximum early August for my oath.
They told me in a confirmation email when they requested further info from me.
Based on what we are seeing here and compared to other months applicants this seems to be the most realistic estimate for us January group. I was hoping to travel to the US but given the situation at the border right now, I am not too worried about this delay anymore.
Yes! I heard horror stories of people being detained before being denied entry to the US then sent back to Canada depending on the original country of citizenship.
Overall, we know Vancouver office is the cause of much delay, so I am going to just relax and let the application take its course. Nothing we can do at this point and time.
Oh please, what has this got to do with it being under liberal govt? Every of your post here is whining and bashing the liberal govt, did you not come into this country as PR under the same liberal govt?
Regardless of our frustrations with the speed of progress, citizenship applications are not priority. You are already in this country as PR, afforded most of the same rights as a citizen besides voting rights and a passport.
Morever, you only submitted your application in January and the stated processing time is 8 months. Calm down

You call it whining. I call it paying attention. As Winston Churchill said, “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” If the current government can’t handle critique, maybe they’re not interested in improving—just coasting on old PR approvals like yours.

Thanks for sharing that. I stand corrected—it’s honestly mind-blowing to see how long those citizenship application timelines were. I can’t imagine what it must’ve felt like for people waiting years just to hear back. The uncertainty, the stress, and not knowing what your future holds—that must’ve been incredibly difficult. It really puts things into perspective.
