That sounds incredibly stressful. From what you’ve shared, it seems like CBSA has made a decision on your case, but IRCC is still showing your H&C application as in progress. This isn’t uncommon—sometimes different departments don’t update their systems at the same time, or CBSA might have received a decision before it was fully reflected in IRCC’s records.

Given that your PRRA and H&C were supposed to be assessed together, it’s likely that the decision CBSA will give you includes both. The fact that they’ve scheduled an in-person interview suggests it could be a significant decision—either approval or a removal order. If it were a simple refusal, they might have just mailed it.

Since your meeting is next week, it might help to bring any additional supporting documents that could help your case, just in case they allow you to submit anything last-minute. You may also want to consult a lawyer to prepare for different scenarios.

Hoping for the best outcome for you! Stay strong.
Thank you so much will update u guys once I get any update !

Does support letters from members of canadian armed forces add any extra weight to the H and C application?my mom’s nephew(brother’s son) is an active member of canadian armed forces, should we add a support letter from him to support the application?

Support letters can help if it is someone very close to you and who knows you very well.

Do you know this nephew well? Is this someone you see regularly? If so, then you can add a support letter. If not, then I wouldn't.

The fact he is in the armed forces won't make a difference or add weight to your application. The support letter will be treated like any other support letter.

Then he can certainly provide a letter. However the fact he works for the armed forces is irrelevant.

Does anyone asking with MP for reasons for delay after processing time passes?
yes we contacted our MP and they said they will check with IRCC and get back to us. I am not sure they also know what is going on. Our application was put on hold since October last year and nobody told us the only thing the agent were saying was background check is ongoing, until we spoke to one agent recently who told us our application is on hold, we messaged IRCC and they confirmed it saying we have an open file with the refugee board which is not true, but after submitting our Judicial review decision they sent us message to continue our application. its been over two weeks now and nothing since. the whole situation is now very frustrating its been more than 36month for us. and 6 month since we got AIP.

When did you contact with them? It should be fast at least for them to get responses from IRCC.

What really matters is whether your processing time is in line with other applicants. If your processing time is similar to others that is just the normal processing time.
