I can totally understand how you feel.
I’m a May applicant SP+SOWP + two children. I don’t want to discourage you but if you are close to the PGWP application date, which was my case, you better start making a backup plan and take things easily.
I didn’t hear from IRCC and I had to apply for PGWP “maintained status” now I CANNOT work until I have the approval in hard copy. It was frustrating and nerve racking, but it is what it is, now. I am waiting not to be trapped 3-7 months without working or time passes flying so I can forget this horrible time.
So, all the best but if not just set your mind and prepare for a different scenario. I hope your case is not like mine.
I applied May 11th
Received Correspondence Letter Nov 7
Applied for PGWP on Nov 30

* I believe that my older daughter turning 15 years old while still our application was going on, made the difference, Dec 24 IRCC asked for WP fee payment, and I started to understand the delay. Now, she was requested to get her BiOMETRICS collected. We’re going this Monday to Toronto to do it, and I hope that it would be the last thing to be done. ( She was a minor when we came that’s why it was not necessary for her to had them back home) But we are still the SP extension application, I hope this will help to accelerate the PGWP as the requirements are the same.

Good luck!
Hello. sorry i have a question
from what you said you are an international student and you are here with spouse and kids. I wish to know if your kids pay international fees or not?

Kids going to public schools don’t pay fees if student or PGWP holder meet requirements.

Hi,
That’s right, I’m an international student, and we came all together. My daughters don’t pay any fees at all. The older one goes to 10th grade and the younger goes to 5th grade. Both are in Public Schools. They received their original Study Permit at the Pprt of Entry in Pearson airport. Now, they continue studying while waiting for their study permit extension as well. Schools haven’t required any updated documentation.
I hope I could help you with this information.

thank you so much for your reply
so do you mean they didn’t need to apply for a study permit before hand?
and also could you please tell me what travel document they used before getting their study permit at the port of entry?
and may i ask in which city you are

With new rules, you may want them to apply for study permits.

No, I didn’t have to apply for Study permits for them as they were minors when we came in 2022. For travelling they just needed the Tourist visa stamped on their passports, with that the immigration officer gave us their study permits which were requested by the school board for registration to school. We’re in Kingston, Ontario.

There are new rules so your children may not qualify to come to Canada anymore if you are a new international student.
