One of the first guys for Jan applicants got DM and Oath scheduled, no language required case. This is encouraging and so quick ~2 months. The real suspense is for regular test completed candidates, lol - no one yet. Waiting for the first one,

I got same as your status on Feb-25, and I am over 55. Background, Prohibitions, Physical Presence completed.

Did you submit any language proof like educational certificate?

I am still stuck at language in-process. I was told by a family member to attach my Canadian degree but I ignored it.

Hi…. I received an email for test invitation but tracker shows citizenship test -not started yet means tracker not updated at all. Anyone has similar experience?
Apply received : jan 31,2025

Citizenship email : march 06, 2025
But nothing updated on tracker.

Received fingerprint instructions today and submitted within four hours of receipt.

Type: Online application
Location: Toronto
Physical Presence Days: 1095.5
Application: Family
Application sent: January 13, 2025
Delivered: January 13, 2025
AOR: January 28, 2025
Scheduled for citizenship test: February 28, 2025 to March 31, 2025
Citizenship test status: Test completed on February 28, 2025
Citizenship test status update on Tracker: March 5, 2025
Background Verification: Pending
Fingerprint Request Letter: March 6, 2025
Fingerprint Submitted: March 6, 2025

What triggers the fingerprint (FP) request? Does it relate to how the citizenship applicant obtained permanent residency? The FP email states that the request is due to the expiration of fingerprints for citizenship purposes, which is set at one year. This applies in my case, but I’ve noticed that many applicants were not asked to provide fingerprints and passed BG with ease. It’s unlikely that all of them had prior fingerprints within the last year. I want to understand the pattern behind these requests.

I have got Oath date today March 26th........
AOR Jan-28 and Oath status updated on March 6th.........
I am over 55 so test and langauge skipped

When was the last time you gave IRCC fingerprints? They say they ask for them if it is more than 1 year since the last time you gave them.

Never gave finger prints after getting immigraton

My test window starts tomorrow, and I will be taking the test sometime during the day. I hope it's easy! Tests always make me nervous! I've been studying and doing the practice tests, and I've lived here for nearly 13 years, so I should know a lot of this stuff already, BUT I'm never NOT nervous!

We weren't asked for fingerprints, but we don't have very common names, and we have not left Canada since we arrived in 2012, so they already know EVERYTHING about us!

Thanks for the help everyone! Scheduled for citizenship ceremony on March 31.
