it doesnt matter. you can get it early or late. I´ts more a formality.
Well this is the latest from my MP, so essentially nothing more we can do except wait on this BS, other than Mandamus I suppose.

I am waiting for my PR from July 2022, now I am waiting for the security check from June 2023
Our timeline is similar to Ramino2022. Inland spousal sponsorshp, and PR applied for Aug. 2022 (paper); docs uploaded on web Oct. 2022. One background/security check has been an outstanding issue for at least a year which I find to be ludicrous. Really can't do anything else except wait. My wife has a WP that has recently been renewed without issue. Why the PR is taking so long I have no idea.
Hi guys, we just received eCoPR! It’s been an extremely long journey starting around 8 years ago.
Timeline:
September 2022: Positive refugee decision (after years of back and forth, grateful nonetheless)
November 2022: Submitted PR Application
August 2023: AOR
November 2023: IRCC asking for more documents
June 2024: IRCC received all documents requested
December 2024: Pre Arrival Letter and asking for biometrics (sent same month)
February 1st, 2025: Eligibility Approval letter
February 13: Portal 1 email (sent same day)
February 14: Portal 2 email with credentials
February 16: Submitted portal 2 questions & photo
February 28: received eCoPR
Good luck to anyone else still waiting! It’ll come eventually so keep going.
I’m excited to apply for citizenship next. I think I still need to wait 2 or three years to be eligible to apply. I’m not sure how it works yet but for now, I’m so glad this journey is done.

Congratulations! You can apply after 2 years for the citizenship. Do you live in Quebec?
Thank you! That’s great news! I live in Ontario but some correspondence I got from IRCC states Montreal and others state either Etobicoke or Mississauga.
