Bro any news on your case? Mine eligibility completed on 30th dec. Same day background check started. Till then no update. From what I have seen people applying from third country and not home country tend to have a longer background check time. Why is that I have no idea.

I am also applying from a third country where I do business. It's very frustrating my previous visa ended in may 2024. I last visited canada in jan 2024. Processing time from my country of Application is 25 days and for my application more than 100 days have passed.

You are right. I am also experiencing the same. Eligibility completed on 27th Jan. IRCC is very inefficient! We can only one thing that is wait.

“IRCC is very inefficient!”

You’re from Bangladesh

https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/Bangladesh/wb_government_effectiveness/#:~:text=Government effectiveness index (-2.5 weak; 2.5 strong)&text=The latest value from 2023,to 2023 is -0.75 points.

Some how don’t think you’re in a position to criticize other countries efficiency

Bangladesh didn’t exactly ace the government effectiveness rating

From Bangladesh the processing time is 38 days. I don’t live in Bangladesh since 2022 February
But you live in a country where processing is probably close to a year so not inefficient. You live in a country where most citizens are visa exempt so Canadian government doesn’t have a lot of staff to process the number of applications.

Australia takes 26 days to process 90% applications and USA issue visa within 2 business working days!
What does Australia and the US have to do with Canadian immigration. They have different staffing levels and processes. So visit there and don’t come on the forum every day and ask about status. You only applied last month. Come back when processing times have passed or you have been approved.

As far as I know my background is 100% clean. I don’t have any criminal records, don’t have any immigration rules and regulations violation history, don’t have any past refusals also I didn’t submit any false documents then why they are taking too much time to verify my background?

Australia also has a high denial rate and US can just deport people at will. Just some of the reasons for differences in processing times.
