I don’t think it’s as straight forward as it’s seems, or I’m reading it wrongly. Both parents being outside is becoming a challenge. Is my understanding right?

Thanx, what I meant by not being straight forward process is that - its confusing on whether we need to have a PAL/TAL letter from province in not clear since both of us are here.You are both foreign workers so can apply for your child’s study permit. You don’t need PAL for your child. You can indicate they will attend the local public school.

Why? Does this come under SDS category? However, what I know, I have read so far, is that Open work permit for spouse cannot be extended, but for minor childern study permit is still there. SDS no longer exists and was for post secondary only. Apply for study permit as minor.Why? Does this come under SDS category? All family members will be affected by new rules. The whole goal is to reduce pressure on infrastructure and lessen the number of temporary residents.Why? Does this come under SDS category? Is the Letter of Acceptance from school mandatory to apply for the Minor Study Permit?
I spoke to the school people in my catchment area, they say until the child is enrolled you can never get the letter of acceptance. They seem to be hearing it for the first time. Now, Its like a chicken & egg story....
