I've been waiting for more than six months for my daughter's SP and my VR extension.
My agent submitted the application, which was accepted on May 24th, 2024. This is the only timeline shown in the Application Status and Messages. The agent keeps calling IRCC to expedite it, but no help. I also called IRCC, but the answer is the same.
Are there still any late May applicants? Is my application taking so long because my daughter is a minor?
Is there still a May applicant? Probably, I'm the only one. It's been eight months. I did everything I could, calling and sending messages to IRCC several times. My representative sent an ATIP request to IRCC two weeks ago and is still waiting for a response. What else can I do? I'm desperate.

It's so frustrating! The most recent approvals for family applications were on January 10 and 13, for submissions made on June 19 and 20. We still don’t have any further information and have no idea which dates they are currently processing.

I can totally understand how you feel.
I’m a May applicant SP+SOWP + two children. I don’t want to discourage you but if you are close to the PGWP application date, which was my case, you better start making a backup plan and take things easily.
I didn’t hear from IRCC and I had to apply for PGWP “maintained status” now I CANNOT work until I have the approval in hard copy. It was frustrating and nerve racking, but it is what it is, now. I am waiting not to be trapped 3-7 months without working or time passes flying so I can forget this horrible time.
So, all the best but if not just set your mind and prepare for a different scenario. I hope your case is not like mine.
I applied May 11th
Received Correspondence Letter Nov 7
Applied for PGWP on Nov 30

* I believe that my older daughter turning 15 years old while still our application was going on, made the difference, Dec 24 IRCC asked for WP fee payment, and I started to understand the delay. Now, she was requested to get her BiOMETRICS collected. We’re going this Monday to Toronto to do it, and I hope that it would be the last thing to be done. ( She was a minor when we came that’s why it was not necessary for her to had them back home) But we are still the SP extension application, I hope this will help to accelerate the PGWP as the requirements are the same.

Good luck!

I submitted my solo study permit extension on June 24, 2024. I am still waiting for my document.
At the point, I feel you should reach out to an MP in your province. It’s been over 6 months and on the website the processing time is 119 days (4 months)

I applied for a study permit extension and a SOWP extension on July 3rd, but I am still waiting for a decision. After a long wait, I submitted my PGWP application and SOWP application on November 13th, while I was in maintained status. Unfortunately, I have not received any response for either application. I left my job in August, so I have been jobless for almost five months now.

I also applied on same day and still waiting but as per i know and my advisor told me we are able to work on maintained status
I called IRCC many times. They told me I cannot work after submitting my application while on maintained status. I need a valid study permit to get work authorization.
