Hi All,
I applied non express entry PR, after i recieved employee sponsered ontario economic stream nomination on August 11th as an inland applicant. Since we have a commitment, myself and my spouse(dependent applicant) are travelling to india for few months. I have not recieved my AOR yet, Im planning to go to india by end of January, my spouse already traveled to India. We are planning to return back by mid of March.

When I get AOR and biometrics request, will it be ok if we do biometrics in India ? Or I do biometrics in Canada and my spouse does biometrics in India ?

Should I be informing IRCC regarding my situation?

You can do medical and biometric anywhere in the world. There is no specific requirements to do it in Canada.

So I applied my non express entry file on July 23, 2024 and I am waiting for my AOR, My Expected AOR date was December 20, 2024, from our group of 15 people from same day application 13 of them got AOR on December 20, 2024, we are only two who did not get AOR yet. Yesterday we tried and we were able to login to GCkey account and link our application via TFN and also we were able log in to tracker as well with the TFN(Temporary File Number) without having AOR.

Please advise what it can be and When can we expect the AOR ?
Just incase after how many days we should wait for AOR and if we don't get any response What can be done in that situation ? Please help us as we are getting tense now, as we also know that this is holiday season but just curious to know, as we are aware that people can link the application after getting the AOR. However we can without getting it.

@Krutik patel : My submission date was same as yours. I got AOR on 23rd December. Due to holiday season, there might be some delay but I am pretty sure you will get it pretty soon. Hope you have not authorised any representative coz if you have assigned an immigration consultant then the email goes to the respective email id and you will not receive any email.

@Krutik patel : My submission date was same as yours. I got AOR on 23rd December. Due to holiday season, there might be some delay but I am pretty sure you will get it pretty soon. No I did not appoint any representative, I did the application by myself and also email is mine. I hope I'll get the AOR soon.

How do you get the TFN. My assumption was that we never get anything other than the reciept of payment and reference number when we apply.
Did you get the TFN after you applied ?

So to get TFN you have to call IRCC and tell them about your application details whatever you have and then you can ask them for TFN, they will provide a number which will probably start from "XEP" and then 8 digits. Where you can remove X for any future reference where you might need to use application number.

Could you please explain in what all options you had tried to link your application with TFN. After seeing your message I also tried to link my application using TFN. Unfortunately no positive sign. Are you sure you had used the TFN to link your application. TIA.

It's not mandatory to get this number but just in case if you need to upload any webform or any other documents regarding the Non express file then if you use the application number, it's gonna be easy for them to find and attach it to the file.

@Krutik patel , can you please let me know the number to speak to someone from IRCC. I have tried the toll-free number and it just gives automated replies. There is no option to speak to someone.

How did you manage to talk with the agent ? They are asking for application number. Can you please guide how to reach agent

You don't. The timeframe is around 5 months to receive it.

No , you don’t need passport after you apply PR application. Apply Passport renewal asap when 12 months remaining. Now BLS is taking 1-3 months for renewal. Once you get new passport, send copy of new passport through webform and update CIC.

@Miss bee As per your suggestion, I have filled out an online form for passport renewal also booked the appointment with BLS next week.

I have received my AOR and already completed my biometric (In biometric, they needed my passport).

I still yet to receive medical request in my PR application. I have already submitted my old medical in my application. You think I will need my passport in case if they dont accept my past medical? Considering, I will submit my current passport to BLS next week.

Also, if I get a new passport, will IRCC ask for new PCC as my new passport will have a new number. Thanks!!
