Has to get tighter because it’s literally collapsing

Just look at some of the examples posted on here people think fall under HC
Borderline ridiculous

Example one posted about an adult who is 20 that’s depressed because siblings are in Canada
Grow a pair and grow up
why are you insulting people here?anyone can suffer from depression and the reason for depression could be anything including loneliness?and who are you to dictate that?are you an immigration minister?

If your brother is fully dependent on your parents your parents have a better chance than other parents but if they are older then they will not be able to care for your brother and financially support him longterm. It also appears that you only immigrated in 2020 so your parents must have had a plan for living in their home country if you only recently immigrated knowing there was no guarantee they could move to Canada/abroad. Their application likely depends on your brother’s health/medical history, their longterm ability to care for him if necessary and their ability to support themselves while in a Canada.
@virkz please dont listen to this advice, doesnt matter how strong your case is,some people here will always try to demotivate you/discourage you and the person who is giving you this advice has a very good reputation of providing bad discouraging immigration advice, look at this persons comments in the entire immigration forum and you will understand what I am talking about,he/she thinks he/she owns Canada and other people doesnt have the right to stay here,so I would say consult with a good lawyer and do what your lawyer says, good luck.

Not representative of what I have said first of all. The fact is that Canada was very generous and ambitious with their immigration policies. It was quite easy to get PR, Canada allowed people to remain without status in Canada, reapply for programs multiple times, allowed people to extend stays easily, etc. IRCC has no choice but to tighten requirements and reform. Think people need to be prepared that getting PR via all means is going to become much more difficult. This is not just my opinion but what has been said by the government and immigration professionals. IRCC reduced their PGP targets and so even more will apply for H&C to try to circumvent the PGP program. There is a quota for a reason so IRCC will need to crackdown on parents applying for H&C. All the people who don’t qualify for other pathways to PR will start applying for H&C and asylum which will then force IRCC to reform the H&C program (asylum system reforms are coming in December) to process applications more quickly and especially refuse applications quickly. We have already seen tightening TRVs, no concessions for international students, shorter length of WPs, reforms of the international student program, etc. Reforms and tightening of other programs are coming.

The H&C program was never meant to allow for repeat applications. It was meant as a final option for exceptional circumstances. Canada lack effort in removing people without status has allowed people to keep refiling H&C application at a huge cost to taxpayers. Long processing times in many programs and the generosity of H&C programs has also lead to more H&C applications.
That will be true if the decision is made by panel of fair decision makers, not by one biased officer who favors applicants from certain countries. I am sure you know what I am talking about, so please stop suggesting that H and C program is a fair process, and applicants are supposed to have one chance. If IRCC manage H and C program much like refugee claim decision making process, I will be the first one to support your idea.

Again, who allowed all this mess. Who allowed visitors, parents, siblings, and just everyone can apply for H and C. It is just getting ridiculous. I could not believe what is going on. The first reforms for H and C program must tighten eligibility to only applicants/families from ADR/TDR countries who are established in Canada for sufficient time, otherwise no.

What is the status of your refugee claim?

For the exemption question, we can't answer that. This is something you need to determine based on your reasons for applying for PR under H&C.

Did you receive any letter from CBSA for removal? If not then “No”

Google inadmissible and you will get your answer if you fall under that category.

* I am answering based on my experience, I am not a lawyer*
