I'm shocked to see that people are experiencing anxiety attacks within a week of receiving their P2 status. It's important to understand that feeling anxious and making desperate attempts to get updates won't help your situation. You've done your part; now it's time to stay positive and wait for the outcome. Instead of checking your status daily, try checking it just two or three times a week.

In my previous post, I mentioned that the Canada Post strike may be causing delays, and someone just confirmed that. I received my P2 on October 18 and have been waiting ever since. Don't worry if you've received P1 or P2; nothing can prevent your PR from being processed(unless something changes in your life). YOU WILL GET IT ;)

Just a friendly piece of advice, Life can often feel overwhelming with all its stressors, and it's important to remember that taking care of your mental health should be a priority.

Hi everyone,

I reached P2 of my PR processing on October 31st. I'm hoping to receive my PR card by the last week of December, assuming the Canada Post strike ends and Portal 2 approval goes smoothly.

I've already booked a flight to my home country on January 4th, returning on January 30th, for an important family function.

Here's my concern: What if I don't receive my physical PR card by then, but my COPR is issued? Can I still enter Canada with just my work permit, which only expire by June 2025?

Also, is it possible to ask a friend in Canada to use express mail to send me my PR card?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Once you get your ecopr u need to apply for the travel document and use that to travel. Sign into your pr portal account click new application and click on the pr travel document. Only after you receive your ecopr. I think they are issued really quickly not sure though.

New to the group. I appreciate everyone’s contributions. I just wanted to provide my timeline for P1, P2, and e-COPR. My husband and I are US citizens applying for PR through the Investor Program (which is now suspended). We are in Montreal waiting for e-COPR.
Oct 8, 2024: submitted info to Portal 1
Oct 29, 2024: submitted info (photos, address, and confirmation of presence in Canada) to Portal 2
Nov 29: still awaiting e-COPR
